Avens Lemon Drops is a smaller perennial that will win you over with its delicate flowers in a lemon-yellow shade. The original avens species are often found in moister meadows and forest edges, so in the garden, too, it will appreciate humous and well-drained soil that does not dry out completely. This variety forms low, compact clumps of fresh green leaves that remain attractive for most of the year and can persist even under snow in milder winters. In May and June, tiny, semi-double flowers hover above the leaves, looking very airy and elegant. The plant is a great choice for edging flowerbeds or for rockeries, where its fine texture stands out. The flowers are also suitable for cutting into smaller spring bouquets, to which they add playfulness and lightness. Although it is a rather short-lived perennial, it is fully frost-resistant and its cultivation can be handled even by a complete beginner. In addition, you will please beneficial insects, because the flowers reliably attract bees and other pollinators.

You will receive a rooted seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant into the flowerbed. Avens forms nice basal clumps of green leaves, which over time function as an excellent ground cover. Its growth is reliable and its care is downright undemanding, because the plant is not bothered by pests or diseases and withstands frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees. It stands out best when you plant it in smaller groups about thirty centimeters apart. From May to July, richly branched stems bearing semi-double flowers with gently ruffled petals appear above the foliage. The Mai Tai cultivar, which was bred in the USA in 2005, is characterized by its amazing color variability. It blooms in peach tones with a pink tint and gradually transitions into more muted pastel, salmon, and apricot shades. Blooming avens is a huge attraction for insects, especially for butterflies. We cut the stems for a vase when roughly a quarter to half of the flowers on the stem are open. They will stay beautiful in water for approximately seven days and add lightness and movement to an arrangement. However, its flowers are not suitable for drying. Although it is more of a short-lived perennial, it will bring you a lot of joy in the flowerbed with its rich flowers and undemanding nature.

On our farm, it was always a struggle to find beautiful, large, double flowers for bouquets during this time. But we succeeded! We filled the gap with China asters and peony poppies. These poppies reliably replace peonies, ranunculus, and Dahlias. Just keep in mind that they don't flower for long and need a little care to last in a bouquet. Harvest when the bud has cracked, scald the stem ends in water for a few seconds, and let them finish blooming in the vase. The peony Poppy Salmon comes in a warm pink color.

Talinum latnaté, známé pod názvem Jewels of Opar, vnáší do zahrad i kytic lehkost a hravost. Tato nenáročná letnička tvoří přízemní růžici svěže zelených listů, ze kterých od června vyrůstají tenké, šedesát až devadesát centimetrů dlouhé stonky. Na jejich vrcholcích se otevírají obláčky drobných kvítků v zářivých odstínech karmínové, korálové a růžové. Přitahují pozornost včel a motýlů, zatímco samotná rostlina je navíc zcela jedlá. V záhonu působí jemně a vyplní místa mezi výraznějšími trvalkami. Jako výplňová zeleň vynikne i ve váze. Řezat můžete kvetoucí stonky nebo počkat na drobné lesklé semeníky, které lze snadno usušit. Semena talina zvládnou vypěstovat i začátečníci. Vyséváme je od dubna do června na slunné či polostinné stanoviště s propustnou půdou. Na povrchu je nezasypáváme, ke klíčení potřebují světlo. Netrpí na škůdce a na konci léta se ochotně sama přesévají.

Při přípravě půdy se vyhněte těžkým jílovitým podkladům, které v zimě zadržují příliš mnoho vody; pokud takovou půdu máte, vylehčete ji pískem a listovkou. Sazenice sázejte do úrovně, v jaké byly v kontejneru, a po výsadbě je důkladně zalijte. Specifikem kuklíků je jejich tendence být spíše krátkověkými trvalkami, což však lze snadno vyřešit pravidelnou údržbou. Aby vám rostlina dělala radost mnoho let, je nutné ji pravidelně zmlazovat dělením. Jakmile si všimnete, že střed trsu začíná řídnout nebo rostlina méně kvete (obvykle po 2–3 letech), vykopejte ji, rýčem nebo ostrým nožem rozdělte na menší části a ty znovu vysaďte. Tímto jednoduchým zásahem, který se provádí brzy na jaře nebo po odkvětu, si rostlinu namnožíte a udržíte ji v perfektní kondici. Po odkvětu v květnu a červnu je také vhodné sestřihnout stonky se zvadlými květy až u země, což rostlině dodá energii a udrží kompaktní bochánek listů atraktivní po zbytek sezóny.
Díky nízkému vzrůstu a mrazuvzdornosti je Lemon Drops excelentní volbou pro celoroční pěstování ve venkovních nádobách. V zimě, kdy teploty klesají hluboko pod bod mrazu, je rostlina ve volné půdě zcela bezpečná, avšak v nádobách doporučujeme kořenový bal chránit obalením květináče jutou nebo polystyrenem, aby nepromrzl ze stran. Water avens is a charming native perennial that inherently belongs to moist meadows and stream banks. In the garden, it thrives best in loamy or clay soil that retains plenty of moisture. It grows excellently in both full sun and partial shade. You will receive a well-rooted seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant into the flower bed, where it will soon form a nice ground cover. From May to July, it blooms with semi-double flowers on stems thirty to sixty centimeters tall. They have a cup-like shape and play with pastel yellow, dusty pink, and cream shades with a purplish calyx. Unlike cultivated garden avens, it differs in the structure of its flowers, which droop on the stems like delicate little bells. The edible flowers reliably attract pollinators. Yarrow Terracotta
A native wild perennial with a large distribution range from Europe to Siberia. Suitable for natural and wild plantings. It grows in meadows and dry grassy places. A very adaptable and undemanding plant, it grows in clumps and spreads via runners. Cutting back after the first bloom encourages a new set of flowers. Harvest for bouquets when the tiny flowers are fully open. It lasts 10 days in a vase. Terracotta features ochre, shades of orange and yellow, and gray-green foliage.

Perovskia are sparsely branched subshrubs, originating from areas ranging from Afghanistan to Tibet. They grow in open, sunny, rocky, and stony habitats. Their white-felted shoots and grayish aromatic leaves are striking. They fit well in sunny flower beds with other drought-loving perennials, where they create interesting structures even in the winter months. Little Spire is a smaller cultivar suitable even for pots with a soil volume of 7 liters or more.
