Sazenici koriandru, kterou od nás obdržíte, doporučujeme vysadit na záhon až ve chvíli, kdy spolehlivě pominou pozdní jarní mrazíky a zemina je prohřátá. Vyberte pro ni slunné stanoviště, kde bude mít rostlina dostatek přímého světla pro optimální vývoj svých aromatických silic. Půda by měla být především humózní a dobře propustná, aby u kořenového systému zbytečně nestála voda. Pokud máte na zahradě těžší nebo jílovitou zeminu, odlehčete ji před výsadbou přimícháním písku a kvalitního kompostu. Nezapomeňte pečlivě dodržet spon výsadby kolem 40 centimetrů. Tento štědrý prostor je klíčový pro dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu mezi rostlinami a zdravý vývoj do konečné výšky 40 až 60 centimetrů.\n\nV průběhu sezóny vyžaduje koriandr střední, ale pravidelnou zálivku. Zemina by nikdy neměla vyschnout úplně na troud, ovšem dlouhodobé přemokření mu také vyloženě nesvědčí. Hnojení není nutné během léta nijak přehánět, rostlina si většinou bohatě vystačí s živinami z kompostu přidaného při jarní výsadbě. Koriandr je mezi bylinkami velmi oblíbený, protože netrpí na žádné běžné choroby ani škůdce, takže se zcela vyhnete složité péči a nepopulárním chemickým postřikům. Během června a července letnička rozkvétá jemnými bílými okolíky, které můžete buď nechat na záhonu jako vydatnou potravu pro včely, nebo je s úspěchem využít jako netradiční a vzdušný prvek do letních řezaných kytic.\n\nTato aromatická bylinka je také naprosto ideální pro pěstování v nádobách a prostorných truhlících na balkonech, což ocení každý, kdo nemá k dispozici vlastní zahrádku. Při pěstování v květináči nezapomeňte na důkladnou drenážní vrstvu na dně a počítejte s tím, že substrát bude v letních dnech vysychat o poznání rychleji než volná půda na záhonu. Vzhledem k tomu, že jde o klasickou jednoletou rostlinu, koriandr na podzim po vytvoření semen svůj životní cyklus zcela ukončí a nevyžaduje tak od vás žádné speciální zazimování.
