Phlox Creme Brulee

Cosmos are a necessity here on the farm! We cut them by the hundreds of stems; our customers love them, especially brides. However, in terms of color, Cosmos usually only do white and pink. But now, finally, a new interesting color! A combination of light pink and the palest salmon!

Phlox from the drummondii family are annuals! And they are easy to grow. The plants are shorter and less woody than perennials. But if you are short on space, like us on the farm, they are perfect! Blushing Bride has white flowers and cherry-pink centers. It looks beautifully delicate, especially for wedding floristry.

The best-selling cut Zinnia ever! But the main thing is the color! Antique wine fading into antique pink. The Queen Lime series is our favorite Zinnia; it's love at first sight! The flowers are large, up to 10 cm, surrounded by many petals, giving a double-flowered appearance. Moving towards the center, the petals get smaller and end up unopened at the center, creating a frosted cupcake effect. No other Zinnia compares!

Cosmos are one of the most popular flowers on our farm. They resemble Daisies and customers love them. And now imagine that such a hit comes in a double-flowered version! Absolutely magnificent! A flood of flowers resembling cotton candy; the Bicolor pink variant is full of soft pink shades. Some blooms are cool pink and others are in a warm blush color. One plant produces at least 12 stems.

Pure splendor! We don't have nicer photos for this year because every year we cut the ornamental carrot down to the last stem and there is simply no time left for photos. Thin, strong stems and umbel inflorescences resembling dill at their ends. There are thousands of tiny flowers on each stem creating a veil or lace effect. It is a mixture of colors, where some flowers are pure white, but the majority are chocolate to burgundy with a touch of white.

Specially bred varieties suitable for cutting: these are the sunflowers of the PROCUT series. They are reliable, single-stemmed varieties. They are pollen-free, which every florist will appreciate. White Lite is a pale yellow variety with a green-yellow center.

A smaller zinnia is very practical! And the Oklahoma series has flowers 4-5 cm large and fits perfectly even into smaller floristry tasks such as wreaths. Shades of darker and lighter salmon. One plant produces at least 10 flowers.

Orlaya is a floral variety somewhere between Ammi and ornamental carrot. However, it also has outer flowers with large petals, creating the impression of lace or embroidery. The stems are strong and straight, fitting beautifully into bouquets. And after flowering, tiny seed heads form which are also beautifully decorative and do not wilt; we love harvesting those too.

Pale pink, delicate lace. Didiscus has a strange name, but it is a great beauty similar to Ammi or ornamental carrot. Flowers are disc-shaped with tiny florets. Didiscus finishes blooming faster, similar to Ammi or ornamental carrot, so we recommend multiple successional sowings. It likes warmth, so it can be sown even in summer.

Large double flowers are missing at the turn of spring and summer. The last Ranunculus finish blooming and there is plenty of time before the first Dahlias arrive. On our farm, it was always a struggle to find beautiful, full, and large flowers for bouquets at that time. But we succeeded! We filled the void with China asters and peony-flowered Poppies. These Poppies reliably replace peonies, Ranunculus, and Dahlias. Just keep in mind that they don't last long and need a little care to last in a bouquet. We harvest when the bud cracks, sear the ends of the stems in water for a few seconds, and let them finish opening in the vase. Peony Poppy Salmon is a warm pink color.

Benary’s Giant is a great and reliable series of zinnias, we vouch for it completely! The flowers are larger, roughly 10 cm and full of petals, so they look beautifully double. Benary’s Giant Salmon Rose is a beautiful shade of brick orange to salmon.

The most beautiful shade of Rudbeckia is finally in our offer! 'Sahara' is a double-flowered Rudbeckia and contains a mixture of shades from burgundy to brick, brown, yellow, ochre, and the softest muted apricot. All have dark, distinct centers. Well, simply cute, as our Alenka says.

Cosmos are our favorites, but we missed some color variety with them. They used to be available only in white and pink. Now, finally, a piece in shades of pink-orange-yellow-peach. We just have to have this one.

The flowers are smaller than most Zinnias, but in return, they sometimes turn out double-flowered, resembling Scabiosa! Shades of deep and light pink.

Divine color cocktail of sunset colors! Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. One plant produces at least 15 stems. For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Gorgeous! It is on our list of top Zinnias. The petals are 'crumpled' and bent inwards, giving a wild impression. The color is antique pink; some fade to a nude tone. If you arrange wedding flowers, you know this is a trendy color and a Zinnia you simply must have!

Just when we thought there couldn't be more beauty, along came Cherry Bronze. Orange leaning into raspberry, one of the most beautiful color shades on the farm ever. We are always looking for interesting varieties and colors. And Snapdragon Madame Butterfly is our darling! The flowers are double-flowered and that takes the whole Snapdragon to a new level! Stems aren't as massive and long as, for example, the Potomac and Maryland series, but they make up for it with their doubleness. We use them in bouquets, where they create beautifully large volume. One plant produces one larger and 4 smaller side stems.

We searched for a long time for a Marigold suitable for bouquets. And finally, here it is. The Imperiale Marigold series is specially bred for cutting; it is tall, with long stems topped with large, double blooms. Imperiale Cream is 60 cm tall and cream-colored.

The Cresto series has mostly double, scabious-flowered blooms. Cream is a shade of white leaning towards cream.
