Statice QIS Rose

Statice is a classic from grandma's garden and an evergreen for dried flowers. We grow hundreds of statice! It's incredibly useful in bouquets as a filler material, and even undried, it lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the small flowers on the stem have bloomed, statice no longer wilts and is perfect for wreaths, corsages, and boutonnieres. One plant produces at least 15 stems. For drying, we harvest statice when the stem below the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Simply hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.

Cultivation

NAČASOVÁNÍ SETÍ

Zvonky potřebují určité množství světla, aby hezky rostly a začaly kvést. Proto je nemůže sít kdykoliv v roce, ale setí je třeba si řádně naplánovat.

Potřebují krátké dny (méně než 12 hodin světla denně) od vysetí po dobu 4-5 týdnů k vytvoření krásné základní růžice. Ke kvetení pak potřebují prodlužující se dny.

PODZIMNÍ VÝSEV Nám se skvěle osvědčilo setí na podzim, zhruba na začátku září. V říjnu jsme pak sázeli do nevytápěného fóliovníku. Tam zvonky přečkaly zimu a kvetly hned na začátku června, kdy se prodlužují dny. Na zimu zakryjte (slámou, chvojím nebo netkanou bílou textílií), pokud hrozí velké holomrazy.

JARNÍ VÝSEV Stihnete ale i brzkým výsevem v prosinci, přesazení do fóliovníku do 35-50 dní a pokvetou v červenci. Stonky jsou ale kratší a jemnější.

VÝSEV

Sejeme rovnou na povrch s vrstvou vermiculitu. Zvonky mají drobounká semínka, proto dokud nevyrostou v pořádné sazeničky, je nutné zalévat pouze spodem, kdy vložíte sadbovač do misky s vodou a necháte vodu vzlínat. Zalitím svrchu spláchnete všechna vysetá semínka. Pro klíčení je možné využít i formu rosení.

PŘESAZENÍ

Přesazujeme do záhonu 35-50 dní po vysetí, u zvonků je důležité přesazování neopozdit, nesnáší dobře poškození kořenů.
