If you love escaping the hot city for the cool corners of your garden in the summer and are longing for suitable perennial companions, this plant collection is a great source of inspiration. This collection is ideal for light shade, or even full sun if you have good, moisture-retentive soil. You don't need to worry about excessive maintenance; we know all these selected perennials very well and know they can easily take care of themselves. It contains both wild species and resilient, well-bred garden classics.
When planning, calculate an average of six to seven perennial plants per m²; it always depends on the quality of the soil in your garden and your intentions. In nutritious and sufficiently moist soil, perennials will grow faster and initial spacing can be larger, while in poorer conditions, it is better to plant more densely. The time you can dedicate to garden maintenance will also be a deciding factor.
Our collection is flexible, allowing you to creatively adapt it to your needs and garden. In the cart, you can easily adjust the number of plants or swap in suitable species and cultivars. For example, if you already grow some of the perennials in this collection and only need to fill in your flowerbed, you can simply keep your preferred perennials in the cart. Conversely, during autumn, you can take advantage of available bulbs and order the complete collection, including narcissi, which will ensure your flowerbed is full of blooms even in the spring.

The Sir Winston Churchill daffodil has rightfully earned the title of king among daffodils. This unmistakable cultivar blooms a little later, usually during April and May, filling your garden with a strong and very pleasant fragrance. On sturdy stems that grow to a height of around fifty centimeters, you will not find just one flower, but a cluster of several smaller ones. Elegant creamy-white outer petals are perfectly complemented by a rich, double-flowered center in soft orange tones. From the green leaves grows a spring splendor that reliably attracts bees and other early pollinators. The Precocious narcissus will reliably brighten up your garden in the spring with its elegant and original color combination. Its simple, pure white petals create a perfect contrast with the deep salmon-colored ruffled center. Great burnet is a native meadow plant that naturally grows in wet meadows, where it forms dense clumps of dark green pinnate leaves. In the middle of summer, tall, richly branched stems grow from them, topped with tiny dark red to burgundy flower heads that gently sway in the breeze. This perennial is absolutely indispensable for the life cycle of the rare scarce large blue butterfly, which it will reliably attract to your garden with its flowers. In perennial beds, it stands out especially in naturalistic compositions, where in combination with ornamental grasses it creates an airy and light effect. The inflorescences are also an excellent material for florists, adding an unusual structure and color accent to bouquets, while staying fresh for seven to ten days in a vase. If you don't harvest them fresh, you can dry them for winter decorations, as they hold their shape for a long time.

This species of knotweed originates from the Himalayas and China, where it grows in scrub and on mountain meadows along streams at high altitudes. It forms sturdy clumps of fresh green, pointed leaves. Above them, upright, narrow, candle-like inflorescences composed of individual tiny flowers appear from summer onwards. It is a very popular perennial, recently bred into many cultivars and used in Western Europe in larger park and garden landscaping. It excels with a long flowering period in late summer and good durability in a vase. It was voted Perennial of the Season 2023 by the Czech Perennials Association. The white variety Alba stands out particularly well against a darker background and has long-lasting flowers.

Chasmanthium is one of the most charming ornamental grasses, bringing movement and a gentle rustling sound to the garden. It originates from the eastern part of North America, where it naturally grows in light, damp forests or on the banks of streams, so it is best suited to partial shade and humous, non-drying soil. Its greatest adornments are the flat spikelets resembling small fish, which hang from arched, drooping stems and change color throughout the season from fresh green through beige to warm copper tones, while the leaves turn golden-yellow in autumn. Artemisia lactiflora is an impressive perennial that brings unusual structure and height to summer and autumn flowerbeds. Unlike common drought-tolerant wormwoods, which boast exclusive silvery foliage, this species features deep green leaves and higher moisture requirements. It naturally grows in moister habitats, so in our country, it will prefer humous soil that does not dry out completely. It is a long-lived and undemanding plant that, in a suitable location, grows into larger clumps every year without spreading aggressively throughout the garden.
The main show begins in July and continues until September, when delicate ivory-colored inflorescences appear among the dark green feathery foliage. The flowers smell wonderful and are a magnet for bees and butterflies. Milky bellflower Prichard's Var.
Milky bellflower will bring the atmosphere of wild mountain meadows into your garden. Its original home is the regions of the Caucasus and western Asia, where it grows on the edges of sparse forests and in shrubberies. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply need to transplant straight into a sunny spot with loamy soil. This bellflower is very undemanding and even beginners can easily handle its care, as it reliably withstands frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees and is avoided by diseases and pests. In the flowerbed, it will form roughly ninety-centimeter-tall clumps with green leaves, for which it is a good idea to consider light support. It thrives excellently in the company of plants that will not compete with it too much with a vigorous root system. It therefore looks absolutely perfect as a companion for roses or hydrangeas. The Prichard's Var. cultivar stands out from June to August with a flood of blue to purple-blue flowers, whose color is much richer than that of the basic species. Obedient plant is native to the eastern regions of North America, where it naturally grows on river banks and wet meadows. Thanks to this origin, it loves moister habitats, but it can also handle standard garden soil provided it gets enough moisture. It forms upright, bushy clumps that willingly spread into the surroundings via root runners, allowing it to fill empty spaces in flower beds. The flowers have the shape of a slender spike with four rows of tubular blooms that strikingly resemble snapdragons. The 'Rosea' cultivar will delight you with its delicate light pink color and great vitality, thanks to which it spreads easily and quickly. It is an ideal perennial for beginners because it does not suffer from pests or diseases and is fully frost-resistant. For florists, obedient plant is a literal treasure. We harvest it as soon as the first flowers on the inflorescence open; they then continue to bloom in the vase and stay fresh for an impressive 10 to 14 days. Phlox is originally a perennial native to North America. It soon achieved great popularity in European gardens and has been systematically bred since the 19th century. It is a classic perennial for cutting into bouquets, where, in addition to colorful flowers, it also delights with a gentle fragrance. We harvest as soon as roughly half the flowers in the inflorescence have bloomed; then they last up to 10 days in a vase. Despite efforts to breed the most resistant cultivars, it remains true that Phlox reacts extremely sensitively to climate and soil conditions, so we carefully pay attention to the correct choice of site. A historic English variety bred before 1949. The light pink flowers fade towards the center, while the eye is more richly colored.

Dwarf Lady's Mantle is a smaller and more elegant sister to the more famous Lady's Mantle. This charming perennial comes from the mountain meadows of Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, where it forms low cushions in rock crevices and on grassy slopes. It got its species name from its strikingly red-colored stems, which create a beautiful contrast with its grayish-green leaves. These have the ability to catch drops of morning dew or rain, which sparkle on them like little pearls, giving the plant a magical look. Thanks to its compact growth, reaching a height of only about 25 centimeters, it is an ideal choice for edging flowerbeds, for rockeries, or as an underplanting beneath taller perennials and roses. It blooms from May to July with a flood of tiny lime-yellow blossoms that will brighten up even the semi-shady corners of the garden. It is a completely undemanding plant suitable even for novice growers, it does not suffer from pests or diseases, and reliably handles even stronger frosts.
