If you love escaping the hot city for the cool corners of your garden in the summer and are longing for suitable perennial companions, this plant collection is a great source of inspiration. This collection is ideal for light shade, or even full sun if you have good, moisture-retentive soil. You don't need to worry about excessive maintenance; we know all these selected perennials very well and know they can easily take care of themselves. It contains both wild species and resilient, well-bred garden classics.
When planning, calculate an average of six to seven perennial plants per m²; it always depends on the quality of the soil in your garden and your intentions. In nutritious and sufficiently moist soil, perennials will grow faster and initial spacing can be larger, while in poorer conditions, it is better to plant more densely. The time you can dedicate to garden maintenance will also be a deciding factor.
Our collection is flexible, allowing you to creatively adapt it to your needs and garden. In the cart, you can easily adjust the number of plants or swap in suitable species and cultivars. For example, if you already grow some of the perennials in this collection and only need to fill in your flowerbed, you can simply keep your preferred perennials in the cart. Conversely, during autumn, you can take advantage of available bulbs and order the complete collection, including narcissi, which will ensure your flowerbed is full of blooms even in the spring.

The Precocious narcissus will reliably brighten up your garden in the spring with its elegant and original color combination. Burnet Pink Tanna
Burnet is a native meadow plant that naturally occurs in moist meadows and along stream banks. In the middle of summer, branched stems topped with tiny flower heads grow from a dense clump of ornamental pinnate leaves. The 'Pink Tanna' variety boasts a delicate shade of old rose, which brings a romantic and airy element to the flowerbeds. Its inflorescences gracefully sway in the wind, creating constant movement in the garden. This long-lived perennial is vital for the rare dusky large blue butterfly and attracts other pollinators as well. In garden architecture, it is excellently suited for naturally styled plantings, prairie beds, or as an accompaniment to ornamental grasses. This species of knotweed originates from the Himalayas and China, where it grows in scrub and on mountain meadows along streams at high altitudes. It forms sturdy clumps of fresh green, pointed leaves. Above them, upright, narrow, candle-like inflorescences composed of individual tiny flowers appear from summer onwards. It is a very popular perennial, recently bred into many cultivars and used in Western Europe in larger park and garden landscaping. It excels with a long flowering period in late summer and good durability in a vase. It was voted Perennial of the Season 2023 by the Czech Perennials Association. The white variety Alba stands out particularly well against a darker background and has long-lasting flowers.

Chasmanthium is one of the most charming ornamental grasses, bringing movement and a gentle rustling sound to the garden. It originates from the eastern part of North America, where it naturally grows in light, damp forests or on the banks of streams, so it is best suited to partial shade and humous, non-drying soil. Its greatest adornments are the flat spikelets resembling small fish, which hang from arched, drooping stems and change color throughout the season from fresh green through beige to warm copper tones, while the leaves turn golden-yellow in autumn. Artemisia lactiflora is an impressive perennial that brings unusual structure and height to summer and autumn flowerbeds. Unlike common drought-tolerant wormwoods, which boast exclusive silvery foliage, this species features deep green leaves and higher moisture requirements. It naturally grows in moister habitats, so in our country, it will prefer humous soil that does not dry out completely. It is a long-lived and undemanding plant that, in a suitable location, grows into larger clumps every year without spreading aggressively throughout the garden.
The main show begins in July and continues until September, when delicate ivory-colored inflorescences appear among the dark green feathery foliage. Phlox is originally a native perennial from North America that established a firm position in European gardens back in the 19th century. A specific trait of this species is that it better tolerates the root competition of trees and shrubs. Because of this, it is also suitable for semi-shady undergrowth where other perennials might struggle, although it will always welcome plenty of moisture. Winnetou is a robust and vigorous variety that will delight you with a long blooming period. Its flowers shine with a deep dark pink color that transitions to an intense red towards the center. They last up to 10 days in a vase, and in addition to their colorful beauty, they will bring a delicate, typically summer fragrance into your home. Obedient plant is native to the eastern regions of North America, where it naturally grows on river banks and wet meadows. Thanks to this origin, it loves moister habitats, but it can also handle standard garden soil provided it gets enough moisture. It forms upright, bushy clumps that willingly spread into the surroundings via root runners, allowing it to fill empty spaces in flower beds. The flowers have the shape of a slender spike with four rows of tubular blooms that strikingly resemble snapdragons. The 'Rosea' cultivar will delight you with its delicate light pink color and great vitality, thanks to which it spreads easily and quickly. It is an ideal perennial for beginners because it does not suffer from pests or diseases and is fully frost-resistant. For florists, obedient plant is a literal treasure. We harvest it as soon as the first flowers on the inflorescence open; they then continue to bloom in the vase and stay fresh for an impressive 10 to 14 days. Milky bellflower grows wildly in mountain meadows, on the edges of sparse forests, and in open shrubberies in the regions of the Caucasus and western Asia. Here, it will thrive best in a sunny spot with ordinary well-drained loamy soil and adequate moisture. As soon as you transplant the delivered grown seedling from its pot directly into the flowerbed, it will soon grow into a reliable perennial. Even beginners can easily manage growing it, as pests and diseases avoid it, and it survives harsh winters dropping to minus twenty-eight degrees. The Loddon Anna variety grows to a height of ninety centimeters and produces a large number of delicate light pink flowers from June to August.
