A selection of the most resilient yet delicate and refined species for hot spots in full sun. They are forgiving if you occasionally delay watering, but they make uncompromising demands for plenty of sunshine. Due to their delicate nature, they are perfectly suited for container gardening.
You can plant several pieces or species together in containers, or use your favorites as unique focal points in individual pots or window boxes. Do not skimp on container sizes; only in sufficiently spacious pots can you ensure balanced and stable conditions for the plants. Also, don't forget a drainage layer. Our tips for growing individual species in pots can be found in the detailed information for each specific perennial. However, container gardening is not a requirement, and you can plant our selection in a standard garden bed and combine it with our other collections.
When planning such a bed, count on an average of six to seven perennials per m², though this always depends on the soil quality in your garden and your goals. In nutritious and sufficiently moist soil, perennials will grow faster and the distances between them can be larger to start; in poorer conditions, it is better to plant more densely. The time you can dedicate to bed maintenance will also be a deciding factor.
Our collection allows you to be creative and adapt it to your needs and your garden. You can easily adjust the number of plants as well as species and cultivar substitutions in your cart. For example, if you are already growing some of the perennials in this collection and only need to supplement your collection, you can keep only the chosen species in your cart. Conversely, when shopping in the autumn, you can take advantage of available bulbs and order the complete collection including ornamental bulbs and alliums, which will provide your bed with structural and color variability.

Allium neapolitanum
Allium neapolitanum
Allium neapolitanum traveled to us from the sunny Mediterranean, where it grows naturally in dry steppe communities. In spring, during May and June, it produces thirty to fifty-centimeter-tall upright stems that bear delicate, star-shaped, pure white flowers. The entire plant also has a pleasant fragrance and acts as a reliable lure for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, to whom it offers valuable food at the beginning of the season. We always select and send our customers the largest available bulbs, from which strong and healthy plants will easily grow. In gardens, this garlic looks absolutely great in combination with drought-tolerant grasses and various herbs, where its pure white flowers stand out beautifully. Fans of cut flowers will also fall in love with the plant, as it will stay fresh in a vase for a good two weeks. Given that both the leaves and flowers are edible, it can also be used to garnish spring dishes. During the summer, it naturally retreats into the ground to rest and gather strength for the following spring.

Meadowsweet
Dropwort is our native drought-tolerant perennial that, thanks to its tuberously thickened roots, easily copes with even very dry locations. In nature, you will find it on sunlit slopes and dry meadows, making it an ideal choice for gravel beds or natural-style gardens where you don't have to worry too much about watering. It forms basal rosettes of finely divided, fern-like leaves, from which stems carrying rich inflorescences emerge in June and July.
Floristically valuable are its fragrant milky white to creamy inflorescences, which attract a large number of bees and other insects. The flowers have a pleasant scent and stay fresh in a vase for about a week. The buds themselves are already highly decorative, looking like tiny pearls before blooming, and they also put on a great show after flowering when they turn into small stars. The plant is fully frost-hardy and absolutely undemanding to grow.

Allium senescens (mountain garlic) is an undemanding yet highly valuable addition to any garden. With its leaves emerging early in the spring, it effectively fills empty spaces in flower beds. It is exceptional for its late flowering and ability to keep its leaves green from spring until late winter.
In July and August, it delights with light purple flowers. It finds its place in rock gardens and containers. Although its stems are shorter, its flowers are excellent for cutting.

Pincushion flower 'Pink Mist' brings lightness and delicate beauty to the garden. The original species grows on dry and sunny meadows or rocky slopes, so it will also appreciate full sun and well-drained loamy soil at your place. Compared to the Caucasian pincushion flowers, it is smaller, growing only to thirty to forty centimeters. However, it stands out with its endurance, as it blooms almost continuously from June to October, especially when you continuously remove the faded inflorescences. The light pink to lilac flowers are eagerly visited by bees and butterflies. In a flower bed, it looks great alongside shorter grasses and other sun-loving perennials. It is a short-lived plant, which, however, readily self-seeds in the right place. The flowers on sturdy stems are excellent for cutting into fresh summer bouquets, but they are not very suitable for drying. The petals are also edible, and you can use them to decorate desserts, for example. You will receive a strong seedling in a pot from us, which you simply need to transplant to a permanent location, where it will easily handle even stronger frosts.

Rock rose Sulphureum Plenum is literally a sun lover that will brighten up any rockery or dry wall. The original species of these low subshrubs are found on sunny and rocky hillsides, which is why even in the garden they require well-drained, poorer, and rather sandy soil where water does not sit. From May to July, the plant is covered with a flood of tiny double flowers in a pastel yellow shade, resembling miniature roses in shape. Thanks to its low and creeping growth, it is perfectly suited for edging flower beds or filling joints between stones. A great advantage is the winter effect, where the plant retains its fresh green foliage, so the flower bed does not remain empty even under the snow. Gaura is a charming clump-forming perennial whose original homeland is the sunny plains of Texas and Louisiana. In the garden, it will appreciate exactly the conditions it is used to from nature, meaning full sun and well-drained, even poorer and sandy soil. A sturdy clump that grows to a height of around eighty centimeters will grow from the seedling you receive. It belongs among the very undemanding plants for beginners, which are completely avoided by diseases and pests. Although it behaves more like a short-lived perennial here, it willingly self-seeds in a suitable location. The tiny little flowers colored in pure white and light pink shades resemble small butterflies and bloom tirelessly from June all the way to October. It adds extraordinary lightness and airiness to flower beds, making it combine beautifully with ornamental grasses. During its long months of blooming, gaura is constantly surrounded by bees, for which it represents a rich food source. The flowers are perfectly suited for cutting into summer bouquets. We harvest the stems for vases as soon as the first two to three little flowers open on the stem. On the contrary, the plant is not suitable for drying.
