A selection of the most resilient yet delicate and refined species for hot spots in full sun. They are forgiving if you occasionally delay watering, but they make uncompromising demands for plenty of sunshine. Due to their delicate nature, they are perfectly suited for container gardening.
You can plant several pieces or species together in containers, or use your favorites as unique focal points in individual pots or window boxes. Do not skimp on container sizes; only in sufficiently spacious pots can you ensure balanced and stable conditions for the plants. Also, don't forget a drainage layer. Our tips for growing individual species in pots can be found in the detailed information for each specific perennial. However, container gardening is not a requirement, and you can plant our selection in a standard garden bed and combine it with our other collections.
When planning such a bed, count on an average of six to seven perennials per m², though this always depends on the soil quality in your garden and your goals. In nutritious and sufficiently moist soil, perennials will grow faster and the distances between them can be larger to start; in poorer conditions, it is better to plant more densely. The time you can dedicate to bed maintenance will also be a deciding factor.
Our collection allows you to be creative and adapt it to your needs and your garden. You can easily adjust the number of plants as well as species and cultivar substitutions in your cart. For example, if you are already growing some of the perennials in this collection and only need to supplement your collection, you can keep only the chosen species in your cart. Conversely, when shopping in the autumn, you can take advantage of available bulbs and order the complete collection including ornamental bulbs and alliums, which will provide your bed with structural and color variability.

Calamint
An undemanding and modest perennial that blooms with a large number of tiny flowers. It blooms for a record-breaking length of time throughout late summer and autumn. It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.

The inflorescences are usually about 7 cm in size. In gardens, it is beautiful with drought-loving grasses and herbs. It lasts up to 14 days in a vase.

Filipendula vulgaris
Meadowsweet
Dropwort is our native drought-tolerant perennial that, thanks to its tuberously thickened roots, easily copes with even very dry locations. In nature, you will find it on sunlit slopes and dry meadows, making it an ideal choice for gravel beds or natural-style gardens where you don't have to worry too much about watering. It forms basal rosettes of finely divided, fern-like leaves, from which stems carrying rich inflorescences emerge in June and July.
Floristically valuable are its fragrant milky white to creamy inflorescences, which attract a large number of bees and other insects. The flowers have a pleasant scent and stay fresh in a vase for about a week. The buds themselves are already highly decorative, looking like tiny pearls before blooming, and they also put on a great show after flowering when they turn into small stars. The plant is fully frost-hardy and absolutely undemanding to grow.

Mountain garlic (or German garlic) is an undemanding yet very valuable allium for flower beds. Its leaves remain beautifully green throughout the season until well into winter. It sprouts early in spring, filling empty spaces in the beds with its foliage. This is followed in July and August by light purple flowers. It is suitable for rock gardens and container growing. And although its stems are not very long, it is also excellent for cutting.

The charming Gaura 'Whirling Butterflies' is exactly the perennial that will give any flower bed a relaxed, natural look. It originally comes from the dry and hot plains of southern North America, which clearly suggests that it loves sunshine and well-drained sandy soil. You will receive from us a beautifully grown seedling in a pot, which you can simply transplant straight into the garden. Here, it will soon form a dense clump of green leaves, from which long, thin stems dotted with flowers emerge all summer until October. Doone Valley creeping thyme is a fragrant ground-cover perennial that will enliven any sunny spot in the garden. The native species grow on dry hillsides, so this variety also thrives best in direct sun and well-drained, rather sandy soil. It is a completely low-maintenance plant that even beginners can easily grow. It is disease-free, avoided by pests, and easily survives frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees. From the potted seedling you receive, it will quickly establish into a dense carpet after planting. This variety catches the eye immediately with its yellow-green variegated foliage and lemon scent. From June to July, the display is enhanced by pink flowers, which act as a reliable magnet for bees and other pollinators. It is perfectly suited for edging borders, dry stone walls, or softening pathway edges. Both flowers and leaves are excellent for drying and culinary use. Pincushion flower 'Pink Mist' brings lightness and delicate beauty to the garden. The original species grows on dry and sunny meadows or rocky slopes, so it will also appreciate full sun and well-drained loamy soil at your place. Compared to the Caucasian pincushion flowers, it is smaller, growing only to thirty to forty centimeters. However, it stands out with its endurance, as it blooms almost continuously from June to October, especially when you continuously remove the faded inflorescences. The light pink to lilac flowers are eagerly visited by bees and butterflies. In a flower bed, it looks great alongside shorter grasses and other sun-loving perennials. It is a short-lived plant, which, however, readily self-seeds in the right place. The flowers on sturdy stems are excellent for cutting into fresh summer bouquets, but they are not very suitable for drying. Rock rose The Bride is an ideal choice for sun-drenched and dry spots in your garden where other plants would struggle.
