A collection for planting containers as well as flower beds in fresh partial shade and shade. For all the lucky owners of east-facing terraces and balconies. The selected color palette is not accidental—the color white reliably brightens even the shadiest corner and combines perfectly with any other color. Good soil and the ability to water are requirements for these species.
In containers, you can plant several pieces and species together or use your favorites as unique solitaires in individual flower pots or a window box. Do not skimp on the size of the containers; only in sufficiently large pots can you ensure consistent and stable conditions for the plants. Don't forget the drainage layer. Our tips for growing individual species in pots can be found in the detailed information about specific perennials. However, container gardening is not a requirement, and our selection can also be planted in a standard flower bed and combined with our other collections.
When planning such a bed, count on an average of six to seven perennials per m²; this always depends on the soil quality in your garden and your intentions. In nutrient-rich and sufficiently moist soil, perennials grow faster, so distances between them can be larger initially; in poorer conditions, it is better to plant more densely. The time you can devote to maintaining the bed will also be a deciding factor.
With our collection, you can work creatively and adapt it to your needs and your garden. In your cart, you can easily adjust the number of plants as well as swap species or cultivars. For example, if you are already growing some of the perennials in this collection and only need to supplement your collection, you can keep only the selected species in your cart. During autumn purchases, you can take advantage of available bulbs and order the complete collection including ornamental bulbs and garlics, which will ensure shape and color variability for your bed.

The Thalia narcissus is a delicate and delightful piece that brings unique elegance to the spring garden. In April and May, two to three smaller flowers bloom on each of its stems. The pure white color may seem simple at first glance, but with this narcissus, it is 100% true that the greatest beauty lies in simplicity. The plant reaches a height of thirty to forty centimeters and fits perfectly into spring flower beds, where it beautifully complements colorful bulbs or lower perennials. In addition to being a feast for the eyes, it also offers a wonderful fragrance that reliably attracts the first spring bees and other pollinators looking for food after winter. The bluebell is a beautiful bulbous plant native to southwestern Europe, where it grows in light deciduous forests. Multiple leaves grow from the bulb, but usually only one flower stalk. In the right location, the plant propagates well by itself via daughter bulbs and seeds, creating colonies. It blooms in May and June. The leaves die back soon after flowering. To last as long as possible in a vase, it is best to harvest them just before the florets open. They can then last up to 14 days in a vase.

Anemones come from the same family as buttercups. With their elegant flowers on long, slender stems, they can brighten up and illuminate late summer and autumn flower beds. They stand out against a darker background of shrub groups and will also be grateful for their partial shade. The Czech Perennials Association chose autumn anemones as the perennial of the 2022 season. They last 7 days in a vase. Anemone Praecox is a compactly growing cultivar with a rich set of flowers. Due to its lower stature, it is perfectly suitable even for smaller gardens and for growing in containers. A big plus is the early flowering time, and the slightly darker coloring of the underside of the petals adds an interesting touch.

The Eastern Star White wood aster is a reliable perennial originating from North American forest clearings and forest edges. It thrives best in partial shade to shade, where it will appreciate ordinary well-draining and loamy soil.
