Hence their scientific name Helenium. A great perennial for cutting with a long vase life of up to 14 days. Fatamorgana charms with contrasting brown-colored central disks and yellow petals.

A classic among Nigellas, a shade of deep sky blue. Nigella is a spring beauty, but its pods are also great for harvesting, so it lasts in the flowerbed until summer.
