With its clumping growth, it will eventually form a nice ground cover, and its flowers attract bees and butterflies. It is an excellent perennial for mixed flowerbeds as well as for cutting. We harvest the stems for bouquets as soon as about a quarter to half of the flowers are open. It will stay beautiful in a vase for about seven days, but it is not suitable for drying. Common pests and diseases avoid it, making it an ideal choice for complete beginners.
