Tanacetum parthenium

Feverfew Amero

Bred feverfew, the inflorescence consists only of tubular florets, i.e., a center without ray florets or petals. Amero is a commonly grown species in Holland and sells great at the flower exchange. It is therefore professional seed, but don't worry, we tested it and it can be grown both outdoors and in a polytunnel; both work perfectly. Amero has round, yellow flowers and resembles tansy. Show full description

Eryngium planum

An evergreen favorite at the flower market! Sea Holly is a perennial; it lasts for several years in the flowerbed and spreads beautifully. The "flowers" and leaves are slightly prickly; it does look like a miniature thistle after all. The stems and tops are silvery blue. And mature, bloomed Sea Holly doesn't wilt, making it great for drying, wreaths, and similar uses. For drying, harvest when the thistles are colored blue and the stem below the thistle is firm. Just hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Orlaya grandiflora

Orlaya is a floral variety somewhere between Ammi and ornamental carrot. However, it also has outer flowers with large petals, creating the impression of lace or embroidery. The stems are strong and straight, fitting beautifully into bouquets. And after flowering, tiny seed heads form which are also beautifully decorative and do not wilt; we love harvesting those too.

Craspedia globosa

A cut flower perfectly suited for the job, but it looks famous in the flowerbed too! Craspedia forms a basal rosette of greyish, inconspicuous leaves, from which "antennae" peek out. Straight, strong stems have yellow balls at the ends. We recommend harvesting in the bud form, before they fully bloom. Green ones are also interesting, as they are neutral and fit into any color combination. For drying, harvest when they are colored up. Just hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Cultivation

ÚVOD

Řimbaba je nenáročná a velmi jednoduchá k pěstování. Pěstovat zvládne i úplný začítečník.

Do té doby roste do výšky a tvoří krásně dlouhé stonky.

Jakmile vám sazenice zaplní buňky sadbovače, můžete ještě řimbabu přesadit do menších květináčů (např. 7×7×8 cm), nechat prokořenit a až poté jí sázet ve sponu 20 × 20 cm do záhonu. Tento postup se nám osvědčil na farmě. Řimbabu vždy vysejeme do sadbovačů, přesadíme do malých květináčků a až poté sázíme do záhonů.

Před samotným přesazením doporučujeme sazeničky řimbaby nechat otužit, aby si zvykly na venkovní podmínky. Otužením sazeničkám i zesílí pletiva.

PĚSTOVÁNÍ

Na pěstování je řimbaba jednoduchá. Sazeničky sázíme do záhonu ve sponu 20 × 20 cm. Po přesazení záhon důkladně zalijte. Doporučujeme oporu, jelikož řimbaba vytvoří poměrně hustý porost.

Jakmile začne řimbaba kvést, mohou se na ní objevit mšice, proto doporučujeme pravidelně sledovat škůdce.
