Rudbeckia, also known as coneflowers, originates from North America; they are robust and abundantly blooming perennials of late summer and autumn. They are suitable for prairie plantings with tall grasses as well as for cottage gardens. The central disks look very effective even after flowering and decorate perennial beds throughout the winter. Harvest for the vase as soon as they bloom. Vase life is 7 to 10 days. We can also use the dry central disks. Goldsturm is a reliable and long-proven cultivar. It has bright golden-yellow flowers with dark centers.

They stand out against the darker background of shrub groups and will also appreciate their partial shade. A valuable garden and medicinal perennial, native to North America. The spiky flower centers are an irresistible attraction for butterflies. They last 7–10 days in a vase. After removing the petals, the stems with the central disks can be dried or used in fresh bouquets as an interesting element. White Swan blooms with milky white flowers and brownish-orange centers. The petals are not spread entirely horizontally; they bend slightly downwards.

You can't imagine anything more meadow-like! It is a terrible shame that it can only be grown at lower temperatures. The Tall Double series is a fuller-flowered Cornflower than the one we see along the roadsides. And Black Boy is a truly unique specimen. The color is dark burgundy to black.

Ammi likes low temperatures, so it is purely a spring and autumn beauty. It adds a fresh and airy effect to all bouquets, and the same applies to the flower bed. The flowers are composed of individual tiny florets resembling lace, which is why we use it instead of baby's breath. 'Casablanca' is a larger Ammi; the plants are taller and more robust, the stems stronger, and it doesn't fade as quickly. Still, we recommend sowing more than once.

In nature, we find it in steppes on dry pastures and stony slopes of Central and Southern Europe. It is a well-known plant used in floristry. Excellently usable in both fresh and dried states. For drying, we select only stems with fully opened flowers. We hang them flowers-down in a dry, airy, and dark place.

Veronicastrum is a native perennial of the eastern part of North America, where it grows in damp meadows and in bright forests. Its flowers, arranged in upright branched spikes, are impressive. They are a great attraction for insects and butterflies. After flowering, the plants are decorated long into winter by durable seed heads. These impressive perennials last about 7 days in a vase. Pink Glow is a garden cultivar of the wild light pink flowering form of Veronicastrum. It has sturdy light pink inflorescences.

Feather grass flowers capture attention in beds and bouquets with their lightness and delicacy. All feather grasses love full sun and dry, stony, well-drained soil. Perovskia are sparsely branched subshrubs, originating from areas ranging from Afghanistan to Tibet. They grow in open, sunny, rocky, and stony habitats. Their white-felted shoots and grayish aromatic leaves are striking. They fit well in sunny flower beds with other drought-loving perennials, where they create interesting structures even in the winter months. Little Spire is a smaller cultivar suitable even for pots with a soil volume of 7 liters or more.

A lesser-known species of Yarrow has dark green glossy serrated leaves that remain attractive throughout the growing season, and a sweet pink color of flowers that are larger than the flowers of common Yarrow. It lasts 10 days in a vase.

Garden cultivars of goldenrod are attractive and low-maintenance perennials bred from native North American wild species. Unlike them, however, they are not invasive and do not spread uncontrollably in flower beds. They are specially bred for cutting, which is why they are relatively tall, grow upright, and bloom profusely. For bouquets, we can harvest both freshly bloomed plants and stems with buds. They last 10 days in a vase. In flower beds, they are an essential food source for bees. Golden Glory has bright golden-yellow flowers.

The original species of this Veronica can be found in nature on damp meadows and on the banks of watercourses. It is perfect for cutting and, depending on conditions, works well in flower beds in combination with roses or, conversely, in naturalistic plantings. It belongs to hardy and long-lived perennials. It lasts about 7 days in a vase. Its slender spikes look particularly beautiful in combination with Daisy or Yarrow flowers. Excellent forage for bees and butterflies. The white variant of the Skyler series bred for cutting, with long flower spikes. It blooms in the very first year and repeats flowering well in subsequent seasons.
