Thalictrum delavayi

This Meadow Rue (Žluťucha) originates from western China, where it grows on mountain plains and in shrubs alongside other tall perennials. It's an effective, delicate perennial ornamental not only for its flowers but also for its small, feathered leaves. The flowers grow in loose panicles. Individual florets are very small, pure white with prominent pastel yellow stamens. In beds and bouquets, they create an airy, lacy effect. In a vase, they last 7 days. The flowers of the cultivar Splendide White are significantly larger than other Meadow Rues and bloom longer. Its strong, upright habit is also a great advantage.

Rosmarinus officinalis

Rosemary originates from the Mediterranean region and North Africa, where it grows wild in dry, rocky, and fully sun-drenched habitats. In the Mediterranean, it is cultivated for its aromatic oil and as an ornamental plant used for stabilizing slopes and hedges. Here, we most often grow it as a container plant that can be moved, or, in a more protected location, we can try growing hardier varieties directly in the garden bed. 'Speedy' is an aromatic and fast-growing variety.

Anemones come from the same family as buttercups. With their elegant flowers on long slender stems, they can brighten and enliven late summer and autumn beds. They stand out against a darker background of shrub groups and will also be grateful for their partial shade. The Czech Perennial Society chose autumn anemones as the perennial of the 2022 season. They last 7 days in a vase. Anemone 'Robustissima' is a proven, vigorous, tall, and profusely flowering species bred in 1900. It forms strong clumps and blooms with large, light pink flowers from late summer to early autumn. As its name suggests, 'Robustissima' is one of the hardiest autumn anemones and spreads very well and vigorously.

Achillea filipendulina

Achillea filipendulina originates from the Caucasus and Central Asia. Compared to common yarrow, it grows in clumps and is also suitable for drying. Pruning soon after flowering encourages new blooms. However, if you decide to leave the spent flower stalks in the beds, you will get a perfect structure that is effective long into winter. The leaves of this species emit a typical bitter yarrow aroma. It lasts 10 days in a vase.
