Sweet pea Winter Sunshine Lavender

A beautiful, delicate light pink, perfectly suited for wedding floristry. At the farm, we are always looking for interesting species and colors. And the Snapdragon Madame Butterfly is our darling! The flowers are double-flowered, which takes the whole Snapdragon to a new level! The stems are not as massive and long as, for example, in the Potomac and Maryland series, but they make up for it with their double blooms. We use them in bouquets, where they create beautifully large volume. One plant produces one larger and 4 smaller side stems.

Different textures and flower sizes fit well into a flower bed. And Scabiosa is a great candidate! Small flowers the size of a coin, straight stems with a basal rosette, and individual buds resembling beads. QIS Dark Blue is a shade of light blue or violet.

The best-selling cut Zinnia ever! But the main thing is the color! Antique wine fading into antique pink. The Queen Lime series is our favorite Zinnia; it's love at first sight! The flowers are large, up to 10 cm, surrounded by many petals, giving a double-flowered appearance. Moving towards the center, the petals get smaller and end up unopened at the center, creating a frosted cupcake effect. No other Zinnia compares!

Chabaud carnations are one of the most beautiful novelties of the year. We are over the moon! Surprisingly, you get a great result from early winter sowing in that very same year; no need to wait. The flowers are smaller, but they make up for it with their color shades! 'Aurora' is a mix of salmon tones.

A Poppy of a distinctive bordeaux color with light grey marbling. We have been growing corn poppies since the first days of Loukykvět and are returning to them again this year. The corn poppy needs more care as a cut flower and doesn't last as long in a vase. But! It is such beauty that it is worth it anyway. Here is our guide for corn poppies. We harvest buds that have just cracked open. It suffices to see a crack on the bud and color inside. The corn poppy has only a few petals, so it takes a moment to open. We freshly trim the ends and scald them in hot water (just boil water and use immediately), or sear the ends with a flame. The heat helps the poppy open paths for water absorption and it won't wilt. We arrange freshly opened pieces or buds in bouquets, given that the poppy will open during the day. If you plan to sow poppies just for pleasure in a flower bed, none of this is necessary of course :)

A shade of warm light pink. Specially bred Sweet peas from the Spring sunshine series. They need more warmth than classic Sweet peas, which comes in handy with increasingly warmer springs. Some springs are so warm that it is impossible to grow classic Sweet peas to the right quality for cutting. Spring sunshine have long stems, robust plants, and are bred for cutting. They bloom easily even outside of a polytunnel.

The Bronze variant, compared to Bronze&White, does not have a white accent, but even so, it is the most beautiful of all colors. The color is salmon to coral orange. The Barlow series is our favorite columbine because the flowers are double-flowered! We grow columbines on our farm as annuals, so we sow new ones every year. This saves space and we achieve longer stems. We grow part of the columbines in a polytunnel so we catch the harvest for Mother's Day, when flowers are scarce. Rose Barlow is a beautiful color combination where the flower centers are sweet pink and the outsides and stems are slightly purplish.

Foxglove is the princess and Snapdragon is the prince. At least in appearance. Noble, delicate and airy. It creates a beautiful effect in bouquets as well as in the flower bed. You achieve the longest stems when planting already in autumn, you then harvest meter-long pieces! New bells constantly bloom on the spike-like stems. Dalmatin White is a pure white variant.

The inflorescence takes the form of a flower head, where at the end of the stem there is a little mushroom shape composed of smaller florets. We found it best to plant them in a polytunnel already in autumn; in spring, you then harvest a flood of meter-long stems. You will harvest at least 10 full-value stems from one plant, which gradually grow and bloom. Sweet White is a pure white color.

The Dianthus from the 'Sweet' series is a Sweet William. The stems are therefore thicker and stronger than, for example, a Carnation. The inflorescence is in the form of a cluster, where at the end of the stem there is a "mushroom" composed of smaller florets. It worked best for us to plant them in the polytunnel as early as autumn; in spring, you then harvest a flood of meter-long stems. From one plant, you harvest at least 10 full-quality stems that grow and bloom gradually. Dianthus 'Sweet Pink' is a light, rich pink.

Orlaya is a floral variety somewhere between Ammi and ornamental carrot. However, it also has outer flowers with large petals, creating the impression of lace or embroidery. The stems are strong and straight, fitting beautifully into bouquets. And after flowering, tiny seed heads form which are also beautifully decorative and do not wilt; we love harvesting those too.

Cínie Benary’s Giant Lime vnáší do zahrad velmi neobvyklou a žádanou barvu. Její obří plné květy září svěžím limetkovým odstínem, který na záhonu vytváří příjemný kontrast k tradičním letničkám. Jedná se o bujně rostoucí květinu, jejíž pěstování hravě zvládnou i úplní začátečníci. Stačí na jaře v období od dubna do června vyset semena do běžné hlinité, humózní nebo písčité půdy. Rostlina nejvíce ocení slunné stanoviště, ale bez sebemenších problémů poroste také v polostínu. Vzhledem k tomu, že dokáže vyrůst až do výšky přes jeden metr, vyplatí se pro ni včas připravit oporu. Od poloviny prázdnin až do podzimu se můžete těšit na nepřetržitou záplavu zelených květů. Pro bohatší větvení doporučujeme mladé rostliny na začátku růstu zaštípnout. Cínie je naprosto skvělá pro všechny, kteří si rádi vážou vlastní kytice. Ve floristice se limetkové květy hojně používají jako výplň, jelikož opticky propojí celou barevnou paletu a ve váze vydrží krásné mnoho dní. Na zahradě navíc poslouží jako bohatý zdroj potravy pro užitečný hmyz.

Large double flowers are missing at the turn of spring and summer. The last Ranunculus finish blooming and there is plenty of time before the first Dahlias arrive. On our farm, it was always a struggle to find beautiful, full, and large flowers for bouquets at that time. But we succeeded! We filled the void with China asters and peony-flowered Poppies. These Poppies reliably replace peonies, Ranunculus, and Dahlias. Just keep in mind that they don't last long and need a little care to last in a bouquet. We harvest when the bud cracks, sear the ends of the stems in water for a few seconds, and let them finish opening in the vase. Peony Poppy Salmon is a warm pink color. For drying, we harvest mature poppy heads, roughly from mid-July. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.
