The plant does not suffer from pests or diseases, so care is suitable even for complete beginners. From June to September, it is covered in purple flowers, which are a huge attraction for bees and bumblebees. A great advantage is its unmistakable aroma and purple-burgundy leaves. Compared to classic basils, it has a slightly spicier, camphor-like touch and is fully edible. The great news is that it doesn't lose its fragrance even after drying for floristic purposes. The whole plant emits a typical strong fragrance and its leaves are fully edible, perfectly complementing summer salads or pasta. The 'Pesto Perpetuo' basil is an unmissable herb that shouldn't be missing in any sunny flower bed. Ajaka basil is a newer and very robust variety that will bring not only an amazing fragrance but also unexpected beauty to your herb garden. Classic basil comes from the warm and sunny regions of Asia, which is why even here it requires a warm, sun-drenched location and well-draining soil. It excellently handles the whims of summer weather and is highly resistant to common diseases and pests. Even beginners can playfully manage its cultivation. We will supply you with a grown seedling in a pot that just needs to be transplanted into the garden bed, ideally with a spacing of fifty centimeters. It grows to a height of up to forty centimeters and forms dense, beautifully green bushes with an excellent ability to regenerate. The more of its leaves you harvest, the better it will branch out.
