It crosses very willingly with other aster species, resulting in an inexhaustible number of varieties. Unlike New England asters, they do not close their flowers at night or during unfavorable weather, making them perfect for cutting into vases. We must keep in mind their susceptibility to mildew, which can be prevented by choosing a suitable location. They last 7 to 10 days in a vase. Bazalka Cinamonette je vyloženě teplomilná rostlina, proto sazenici vysazujte ven až od poloviny května, kdy už nehrozí přízemní mrazíky. Tuto bylinku potěšíte, když jí vyberete slunné a před větrem chráněné stanoviště. Půda by měla být především humózní, výživná a dobře propustná. Vyloženě nevhodné jsou těžké, jílovité a příliš mokré půdy, kde kořeny rychle uhnívají a rostlina chřadne. Při výsadbě na záhon dodržujte spon 30 až 40 centimetrů (zhruba 9 až 12 sazenic na metr čtvereční). Tento dostatečný prostor zajistí správnou cirkulaci vzduchu, což je spolehlivá prevence proti houbovým chorobám, jako je šedá nebo fusariová hniloba.
Zálivku udržujte pravidelnou a přiměřenou. Substrát by měl být stále mírně vlhký, ale nikdy ne přemokřený. Zálivka se provádí vždy přímo ke kořenům, abyste zamezili zbytečnému namáčení zelených listů. Během sezóny můžete rostlinu podpořit jemným organickým hnojivem pro bylinky, díky čemuž bude bohatěji obrůstat. Due to its vigorous growth, it is best planted as a solitary specimen; otherwise, it might suppress more delicate neighboring plants. If you only have a balcony available, plant it in a spacious container with a volume of at least fifteen liters. During the summer, lovage blooms abundantly with tiny yellow flowers that are a great attraction for bees and bumblebees. Its tasty, fragrant green leaves will enliven many dishes, while the sturdy stems with flowers perfectly complement rustic vases, where they last for about a week, and after drying, they will scent any floral arrangement.

When planting in the soil, we recommend maintaining a spacing of about forty centimeters so that it has enough space to grow. It is an exceptionally resilient and undemanding plant that even complete beginners can handle without problems. It can even withstand severe frosts dropping down to minus twenty-eight degrees and does not suffer from common diseases; it is only occasionally necessary to watch out for the mint leaf beetle.
During the summer, from July to September, the flower bed turns into a feast for pollinators. The mint blooms with tiny purple flowers that act as a magnet for bees and bumblebees. The entire plant contains strong essential oils, giving it an unmistakable and strong mint aroma.
