Sazenici rozmarýnu vysaďte na to nejslunnější a nejteplejší místo, jaké vaše zahrada nebo balkon nabízí. Tato středomořská bylinka miluje plné slunce a chudou, písčitou i velmi propustnou půdu. Při výsadbě do volné půdy doporučujeme dodržet spon 50 cm, což vychází na 3 až 5 rostlin na metr čtvereční. Dostatečný rozestup zajistí dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu a funguje jako výborná prevence proti houbovým chorobám, jako je padlí nebo šedá hniloba, na které může rozmarýn ve vlhku trpět. Ať už sázíte do záhonu nebo do nádoby, vždy na dno připravte poctivou drenážní vrstvu ze štěrku nebo keramzitu. Zimní přemokření kořenů je pro něj totiž mnohem nebezpečnější než samotný mráz.
Protože mrazuvzdornost této odrůdy sahá zhruba k minus deseti stupňům (zóna 8a), u nás se nejčastěji pěstuje v prostorných květináčích. Pěstování v nádobách je velmi snadné – od jara do podzimu dělá rozmarýn parádu venku, kde jej stačí zalévat jen mírně, až když substrát proschne. Před příchodem silnějších mrazů pak květináč jednoduše přesunete do světlé chladnější místnosti s teplotou 5 až 8 °C. Celoroční pěstování venku lze doporučit pouze v teplých nížinách na velmi chráněném stanovišti, ideálně u jižní zdi a s kvalitní zimní přikrývkou z chvojí. Hnojení není téměř potřeba, rostlina je zvyklá na chudé podmínky.
Odrůda Speedy roste velmi rychle a brzy vytvoří keřík o výšce 50 až 100 centimetrů. Aby si udržel kompaktní tvar, je dobré mladé výhony pravidelně zaštipovat. Během dubna až června vás navíc potěší světle modrými květy, které s jistotou přilákají opylovače. Každý rok po odkvětu se doporučuje provést mírný zpětný řez, kterým podpoříte hustotu a celkovou vitalitu rostliny. Během sezóny i při zimování rostlinu občas prohlédněte, abyste včas odhalili případné škůdce, ke kterým u tohoto druhu patří molice, svilušky nebo mšice. Průběžným odstraňováním oschlých větviček a opadaných lístků udržíte keřík zdravý, vzdušný a v perfektní kondici.
