At the turn of spring and summer, large, full blooms are scarce. The last ranunculus have faded, and there's plenty of time before the first dahlias bloom. On our farm, it was always a struggle at that time to find beautiful, full, large flowers for bouquets. But we succeeded! We filled the void with asters and peony-flowered poppies. These poppies reliably replace peonies, ranunculus, and dahlias. Just keep in mind that they don't bloom for long and need a bit of care to last in a bouquet. We harvest buds just as they are about to open, sear the stem ends in water for a few seconds, and let them fully open in the vase. Peony-flowered poppy Salmon is a warm pink color.

Mints are well-known perennials and herbs, used in floristry as fragrant greenery. This popular tea mint has fresh green leaves and delicate purple flowers.

Basil with purple-green leaves. The flowers are light pink and have a delicate cinnamon aroma. It is grown as an annual, suitable for both pots and garden beds.

Gaura is a clump-forming perennial native to Texas and Louisiana. Here, it behaves more like a short-lived perennial. It combines beautifully with grasses, adding lightness and airiness to flowerbeds. It is an excellent food source for insects. Tiny flowers, resembling small butterflies, bloom tirelessly from June until the first frosts. For bouquets, harvest as soon as the first two to three flowers open on the stem. Whirling Butterflies blooms with pure white flowers that gradually acquire a pink tint. The buds also tend to be pinkish. It is characterized by compact growth and abundant flowering.

An original wild perennial with a large distribution area from Europe to Siberia. Suitable for natural and wild plantings. It grows in meadows and dry grassy areas. A very adaptable and undemanding plant, it grows in clumps and spreads by runners. Cutting back after the first bloom will encourage new flowers. For bouquets, harvest when the flowers are fully open. Lasts 10 days in a vase. Summer Pastels features a varied and delicate range of colors from white and vanilla to salmon, brick, and bronze.

Oriental poppy originates from the Caucasus, Turkey, and Iran, where it grows on rocky slopes and dry meadows. It blooms with large, cup-shaped flowers on tall stems. Like all poppies, for use in bouquets, we harvest them as soon as the buds color and "burst open." Additionally, we briefly (for about 20 seconds) sear the ends of the stems with a flame and immediately place them in cold water. They then last 4 days in a vase. The noticeably fuzzy and large leaves die back shortly after flowering, and the plant must rest until spring to regain strength. Some leaves sprout again in late summer. Therefore, it is advisable to plant other perennials nearby that, on the contrary, sprout later and can draw attention during the poppy's dormant period. Coral Reef is a variety with salmon-pink flowers and black spots at the base of the petals.

Finally, a double-flowered Gladiolus in white! A must-have for wedding floristry! The color is pure white with greenish-yellow centers. We are always looking for interesting varieties and colors. And Gladiolus Madame Butterfly is our darling! The flowers are double, which takes the entire Gladiolus to a new level! The stems are not as massive and long as, for example, the Potomac and Maryland series, but they make up for it with their fullness of bloom. We use them in bouquets where they create a beautifully large volume. One plant produces one larger and 4 smaller side stems.

An ornamental grass naturally growing on permeable, gravelly soils in Southern and Central Europe. It is one of the longest-flowering grasses and retains high decorative value until winter. Its feathery, silvery inflorescences are arranged in a graceful arch, bringing lightness and movement to perennial compositions. Excellent for cutting into fresh bouquets and for drying.

Rosemary originates from the Mediterranean region and North Africa, where it grows wild in dry, rocky, and fully sun-drenched habitats. In the Mediterranean, it is cultivated for its aromatic oil and as an ornamental plant used for stabilizing slopes and hedges. Here, we most often grow it as a container plant that can be moved, or, in a more protected location, we can try growing hardier varieties directly in the garden bed.

Eucalyptus Silver Dollar has young, round, silvery-grey-green leaves. Here, it is most often used as a portable potted plant that thrives when summered on sunny terraces and balconies. Before the first frosts, it should be moved to frost-free, bright spaces.

A well-known tea, culinary, and medicinal plant with a lemon scent. It is also a good food source for bees. For use in teas, leaves should be harvested before flowering when they have the highest content of essential oils. For bouquets, we harvest sufficiently long stems at any time.

It originates from the northeastern USA and southern Canada, where it grows in moist areas, thickets, and along coastlines. It readily hybridizes with other aster species, resulting in countless varieties. Unlike New England asters, their flowers do not close at night or in unfavorable weather, making them perfect for cutting and placing in a vase. We must consider their susceptibility to powdery mildew, which can be prevented by choosing a suitable location. They last 7 to 10 days in a vase. The white variety White Ladies is large-flowered, profusely blooming, and of taller growth.

The individual tiny florets are clustered into convex panicles. They are an irresistible attraction for bees, bumblebees, butterflies, and hummingbird hawk-moths. For bouquets, we use stems with buds and freshly bloomed flowers. They last about 7 days in a vase. Pretty Betsy Red has bright red flowers.

A dense, semi-spherical shrub with smooth, fresh green leaves that are lighter on the underside. The flowers in convex to semi-spherical inflorescences, 15–30 cm in diameter, gradually change color from pale green and cream to pure white.

A beautiful delicate perennial originating from North America. Striking, relatively large but gentle flowers blend beautifully with a rich, fluffy cloud of tiny leaves. They form compact bushes and are ideal for the front of flowerbeds. Coreopsis are naturally short-lived perennials. Their lifespan can be partially influenced by choosing a suitable location and care throughout the season. 'Full Moon' is a taller and more vigorous variant of the proven 'Moonbeam' variety. Like 'Moonbeam', it has light yellow flowers that combine very well with the colors of other perennials and bloom repeatedly for many weeks. It lasts about a week in a vase.

Pochází z Kavkazu a západní Asie, kde roste na horských loukách a na okrajích řídkých lesů a keřových porostů.
