Rozmarýn 'Blue Rain' je krásný a velmi praktický plazivý kultivar, který je díky své nenáročnosti naprosto ideální volbou i pro naprostého začátečníka. Jelikož tato aromatická rostlina pochází z oblasti Středomoří a severní Afriky, miluje horká slunná místa a plné slunce po celý den. Ať už se rozhodnete sazenici pěstovat na zahradě v záhonu, nebo na balkoně, základem úspěchu je správná příprava půdy. Vyžaduje chudou a především vysoce propustnou zeminu. Velmi doporučujeme vytvořit na dně výsadbové jámy nebo na dně pěstební nádoby silnou drenážní vrstvu složenou z kamínků, štěrku nebo keramzitu. Samotný substrát pak můžete pro ještě lepší provzdušnění a odlehčení smíchat s čistým pískem nebo drobnými kamínky. Tento krok je zcela stěžejní, protože u kořenů se nesmí dlouhodobě držet voda, jinak by mohlo dojít k jejich rychlému uhnívání.
Sazenici vždy vysazujte s dostatečným prostorem pro růst. Ideální spon je kolem 50 centimetrů, což v praxi znamená zhruba 3 až 5 rostlin na jeden metr čtvereční. Tento velkorysý rozestup je velmi důležitý pro to, aby se mezi rostlinami zajistila dobrá cirkulace vzduchu, což funguje jako ta nejlepší přirozená prevence proti houbovým chorobám, jako je například nepříjemné padlí.
