Echinacea purpurea

A valuable garden and medicinal perennial, native to North America. The spiky flower cones are an irresistible magnet for butterflies. They last 7–10 days in a vase. Lady's mantle naturally grows in mountain pastures and meadows, and in mixed forests. It is ornamental both in leaf and flower. The leaves have fine hairs, giving the plant a velvety character. Important in beds for its ground-covering nature. It lasts 10 days in a vase.

Digitalis purpurea

Originally a native species of Central Europe found in clearings, moist meadows, and bright forest edges. Usually a biennial or short-lived perennial. In the first year, the plant forms basal leaf rosettes in autumn, from which flower-producing stems grow in spring. Further development depends on the site we choose for it. In some places, it will survive another season, elsewhere we must rely on self-seeding, or plant new plants. All parts of the foxglove are poisonous. Lasts 6 to 8 days in a vase.

These snowberries are specially bred for floristic purposes. Their shoots are upright, sufficiently long and sturdy, and can bear a rich abundance of flowers and fruits. In addition to their use in bouquets, like other snowberries, they can be planted in shrub groups, as low hedges, or in mixed beds with taller perennials and grasses. The flowers are a good source of nectar for bees. The fruits are poisonous. They bloom later in late spring and form fruits in late summer.

This type of sage originally comes from the steppe regions of Central and Eastern Europe. It forms richly flowering small clumps with straight, upright stems. In beds, it looks best in groups. Malva moschata f. alba

Mallow is an undemanding native perennial with pleasantly fragrant light pink flowers. Since ancient times, its leaves, flowers, and unripe seeds have been used as a vegetable and herb. In the 16th century, it was even considered a panacea. In garden beds, due to its rapid growth and development, as well as abundant flowering, it is perfectly suited for filling gaps in freshly established plantings. It looks very effective even in its first season, drawing all attention when other perennials are still taking their time. The fragrant and delicate flowers are very well suited for cutting into a vase and also attract bees. A beautiful pure white form of mallow, elegant in combination with roses or in drought-tolerant communities.

Ballota pseudodictamnus

A xerophilous herb originating from the Mediterranean. It is cultivated for its grayish-white felted stems and leaves. The nettle-like flowers are also interesting, being a great attraction for bees. The plant remains interesting even after flowering, precisely because of its unusual silvery coloration and cup-shaped flower calyxes. These, incidentally, resemble another floristic delicacy – Irish bells. Unlike them, however, it is perennial and in the right location tolerates our frosts. It comes from Turkey, Libya, Greece, and Crete, and therefore we plant it here, for example, in gravel beds. We can also successfully grow it in pots. Unusual greenery for bouquets. Lasts 10 days in a vase.

Matthiola incana

Summer stock is a fantastic cut flower! It loves cool temperatures, and we can still grow three batches a year – two in spring and one in autumn. You'll harvest only one flower per plant, but it will be a truly large, fully double bloom. Stock has a wonderfully intoxicating scent and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible. Katz series is not as susceptible to temperature changes and is generally easier for beginner gardeners to grow. However, this comes at the cost of thinner stems and a smaller proportion of double-flowered specimens. Katz Apricot is the most beautiful shade of skin-tone apricot. All stocks have some plants with double flowers and some with single. The proportion varies with each series. Katz has 55-60% double-flowered plants. Therefore, we recommend growing a bit more. But here on our farm, we also use the single ones; they are super unique.
