Mallow is an undemanding native perennial with pleasantly fragrant light pink flowers. Since ancient times, its leaves, flowers, and unripe seeds have been used as a vegetable and herb. In the 16th century, it was even considered a panacea. In garden beds, due to its rapid growth and development, as well as abundant flowering, it is perfectly suited for filling gaps in freshly established plantings. It looks very effective even in its first season, drawing all attention when other perennials are still taking their time. The fragrant and delicate flowers are very well suited for cutting into a vase and also attract bees. A beautiful pure white form of mallow, elegant in combination with roses or in drought-tolerant communities.

A xerophilous herb originating from the Mediterranean. It is cultivated for its grayish-white felted stems and leaves. The nettle-like flowers are also interesting, being a great attraction for bees. The plant remains interesting even after flowering, precisely because of its unusual silvery coloration and cup-shaped flower calyxes. These, incidentally, resemble another floristic delicacy – Irish bells. Unlike them, however, it is perennial and in the right location tolerates our frosts. It comes from Turkey, Libya, Greece, and Crete, and therefore we plant it here, for example, in gravel beds. We can also successfully grow it in pots. Unusual greenery for bouquets. This perennial scabious grows wild on mountain meadows and rocky slopes of the Caucasus, northern Iran, and Turkey. In gardens, it is grown for its charming large bowl-shaped flowers. It has strong, long stems, which makes it a perfect perennial for cutting. We harvest it best while the central florets are still tightly closed, then it will last up to 10 days in a vase. Spent flowerheads can also be dried and are well-suited for use. Fama White has pure white flowers.

A versatile perennial suitable for both country and modern flowerbeds. It also works well in wild, natural plantings. Its main charm lies in its lovely flowers that appear in late spring, but it is also valuable in beds for its early sprouting leaves. Summer stock is a fantastic cut flower! It loves cool temperatures, and we can still grow three batches a year – two in spring and one in autumn. You'll harvest only one flower per plant, but it will be a truly large, fully double bloom. Stock has a wonderfully intoxicating scent and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible. Katz series is not as susceptible to temperature changes and is generally easier for beginner gardeners to grow. However, this comes at the cost of thinner stems and a smaller proportion of double-flowered specimens. Katz Apricot is the most beautiful shade of skin-tone apricot. All stocks have some plants with double flowers and some with single. The proportion varies with each series. Katz has 55-60% double-flowered plants. Therefore, we recommend growing a bit more. But here on our farm, we also use the single ones; they are super unique.

The roots of some species were once candied as sweets in England and France and added to pastries and jellies. In herbal medicine, it was used, among other things, as an aphrodisiac, hence its folk name 'male fidelity'.

Sneezeweed originates from North America, where it can be found in moist meadows. It grows upright in clumps. The inflorescences form small 'suns' with a diameter of 5 cm, hence their scientific name Helenium. A great perennial for cutting, lasting up to 14 days in a vase. 'Fatamorgana' enchants with contrasting brownish central discs and yellow petals.

Gaura is a clump-forming perennial native to Texas and Louisiana. Here, it behaves more like a short-lived perennial. It combines beautifully with grasses, adding lightness and airiness to flowerbeds. It is an excellent food source for insects. Tiny flowers, resembling small butterflies, bloom tirelessly from June until the first frosts. For bouquets, harvest as soon as the first two to three flowers open on the stem. Whirling Butterflies blooms with pure white flowers that gradually acquire a pink tint. The buds also tend to be pinkish. It is characterized by compact growth and abundant flowering.

Ve váze vydrží 7 dní. Schwellenburg je velmi zvláštní odrůda s bohatě větveným květenstvím. Kvítky mají fialové listeny a vínový kalich.

A classic perennial of Czech gardens, though originally from North America. In nature, it grows in thickets among taller plants and naturally loses its lower leaves early on the stem. Its cultivated varieties retain this characteristic. Therefore, in beds, we combine it with suitable perennials that will cover the lower parts well. The entire plant is coarsely hairy. It is a hardy and long-lived perennial and resists powdery mildew well. 'Harrington’s Pink' is a wild-found variety with 2.5 to 3.5 cm large, bright pink flowers with a yellow center. It belongs to later-flowering varieties. It lasts 7 to 10 days in a vase.

This species of loosestrife comes from East Asia, where it grows in damp mountain meadows. Fragrant flowers grow in elegantly arching spikes, composed of tiny white star-shaped florets. The dull green leaves are also interesting, turning a beautiful yellow-orange in autumn. Lasts 10 days in a vase.

Anemones belong to the same family as buttercups. Their elegant flowers on long, slender stems can enliven and brighten late summer and autumn beds. They stand out against a darker background of shrub groups and will also be grateful for their partial shade. The Czech Perennial Society chose autumn anemones as the perennial of the 2022 season. They last 7 days in a vase. Whirlwind is a historic variety bred in 1887 in the USA. It has semi-double pure white flowers, often with inner curled petals, and a compact, strictly upright growth. The flowers are very durable.

St. John's Wort bred for floristic use. It blooms with smaller yellow flowers, but the important part comes after them. Namely, spherical, slightly pointed fruits that hold well on the plant. They are neither poisonous nor edible; their use is purely decorative. St. John's Wort often re-blooms immediately after the first wave of fruits ripens, so you can find both flowers and fruits on one bush simultaneously. In a vase, it lasts two weeks. Globo Ruby has round ruby-red fruits.

This is a typical Mediterranean species that tolerates drought and heat well here, but not winter waterlogging. Plant in protected areas, e.g., in front of a warm house wall in Mediterranean-style beds. Floristically, it is valuable for its greenery and early flowering. Beware of the milky sap in the stems, which can irritate the skin. Lasts 7–10 days in a vase. Silver Swan has creamy white variegated leaves and is an excellent complement to elegant bouquets.

Panicle hydrangeas are beautiful shrubs native to China and Japan, where their bark, among other things, was used for paper production. We grow them for their impressive conical inflorescences. They are undemanding and profusely flowering plants suitable for planting in flower beds and larger containers. Grandiflora has inflorescences up to 20 cm in size, initially white, changing to pink.

Hellebores are evergreen perennials that form slowly spreading clumps of leathery, dark green leaves. Stems typically bear four to five flowers. Before that, they tend to wilt and the stems cannot hold the flower upright. All parts of the plant are poisonous. Double Ellen Red is a double-flowered hellebore with rounded petals of dark burgundy-red with a lighter undertone on the lower row of petals.
