Ageratum QIS Bouquet White

Ageratum is a great filler material for bouquets all summer long. It loves heat, so you will achieve the best harvest in the second half of summer, and it will bloom until frost. For continuous harvest, you will need to make 2-3 sowings. Suitable for drying. The QIS Bouquet Blue variant has blue in the name, but like most flowers, it blooms in a light purple.

We love all flowers here that grow ready to be dried and are suitable for wedding crafting or any kind of arranging. And Globe amaranth belongs to this group. It is not a cut flower that breaks records. Its advantage lies in the flower, which is tiny and straw-like. For drying, we harvest colored, round heads in full bloom. Once the inflorescence starts to elongate, it is too late for drying. Just hang them upside down in a dry and ventilated place, away from sunlight.

Sunflower comes from the sunny plains of North America and is an inseparable part of our gardens as a symbol of summer. The 'ProCut White Lite' variety brings a pleasant refreshment to the yellow assortment in the form of creamy light yellow flowers with an attractive greenish-yellow center. This is a reliable single-stem annual from a professional series bred specifically for floral purposes. It does not produce pollen, so you can use it in interior decorations without worrying about allergies. In the garden, it grows to a height of eighty to one hundred and twenty centimeters. The path to your own flowers begins with seeds, which are easy to work with and provide quick results. Ideally, start the sunflower seeds by pre-growing them in the warmth for one to two weeks. Covered seeds will germinate in five to ten days. Then, transplant them into sun or partial shade. You can repeat sowings from April to August, which will cause them to bloom gradually from July to autumn. Do not pinch the plants, but provide support for straight stems. Fresh flowers last a long time in a vase and will delight lovers of clean bouquets.

These beauties love heat, which is why we associate them mainly with late summer and early autumn. Saponaria vaccaria, or cow soapwort 'Pink Beauty', is a reliable annual that brings a romantic and airy element to summer flower beds. It easily makes up for its unconventional name with a rich profusion of tiny, pastel-pink flowers that bring a sense of lightness to the garden. These appear on sturdy stems sixty to ninety centimeters tall during the summer months, from June to September. The delicate flowers not only look beautiful and soften the surrounding plantings, but they also act as a magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, which will naturally enliven your garden. For healthy growth, cow soapwort appreciates a bright location, but it can grow in light shade without any problems. It looks very elegant in the garden, and thanks to its structure—reminiscent of baby's breath—it combines perfectly with more robust types of flowers, for which it makes a delicate background. You can confidently cut three to four richly branched stems from each plant. They will bring great joy even if you simply place them in small vases in your living room. Cow soapwort grows and blooms very quickly from seeds, which in practice means that it also fades a bit faster. If you want to enjoy its delicate pink flowers in the bed and in the vase for as long as possible, it is worth sowing the seeds in stages. You can perform direct sowing from February to May in several consecutive phases. Even complete beginners can thus have fresh cut flowers available throughout the season.

A muted, slightly ashy white. Nigella is a spring beauty, but its pods are also great for harvesting, so it lasts in the flowerbed until summer.

Our favorite foliage and filler. It grows beautifully and binds famously! The flowers are yellowish, so they don't color-match every bouquet, but we still never have enough of it! And after flowering, tiny seed pods form which are also beautifully decorative and don't wilt; we love collecting those too.

A cut flower perfectly suited for the job, but it looks famous in the flowerbed too! Craspedia forms a basal rosette of greyish, inconspicuous leaves, from which "antennae" peek out. Straight, strong stems have yellow balls at the ends. We recommend harvesting in the bud form, before they fully bloom. Green ones are also interesting, as they are neutral and fit into any color combination. For drying, harvest when they are colored up. Just hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, out of sunlight.

If you plan to harvest for cut flowers, allow the stems to lignify and harvest in the morning.

Cosmos are an absolute classic and a matter of the heart for us! In the past, we cut them by hundreds of stems on the farm and our customers, especially brides, literally loved them for their lightness and elegance. While common cosmos mainly offer a white and deep pink palette, 'Apricotta' brings a completely new and fresh color tone to the flowerbeds. It is a unique combination of light pink and the lightest salmon, which looks incredibly tender and original. The flowers have a silky appearance and gently sway in the wind, which adds pleasant dynamics to the garden.

Thanks to its strong stems growing up to eighty centimeters tall, this annual is perfectly suited for cutting, adding true rustic charm to bouquets. But its use doesn't end in the vase. The flowers keep their fantastic color even after drying! At weddings, we loved using them in flower crowns and corsages, where they have excellent stamina! The petals are edible. They serve perfectly as an original garnish for summer salads, desserts, or festive cakes. Moreover, in the garden, it functions as a reliable magnet for bees and bumblebees, who simply go crazy for its nectar.
