Safflower in creamy white? A cut flower you must have! We tried it for the first time this year and it's a great choice. The stems are firm, strong, and woody. They grow beautifully straight, making them wonderful for arranging. Safflower can also be used unbloomed in the form of buds, as neutral green thistles. The flowers are prickly, but the stems and leaves are not, so it doesn't bother you when cleaning and arranging the material. Well, a lot could be said about safflower, it's simply a flawless piece.

PŘEDPĚSTOVÁNÍ

Pestrovka miluje velké teplo, v chladnějších teplotách neroste. Proto doporučujeme pouze předpěstovávat, aby se vše stihlo.

Sejeme 6-8 týdnů před posledními mrazy. Semena zakryjeme jen menší vrstvou substrátu nebo zasypeme vrstvou vermikulitu. Dokud semeno nevyklíčí, doporučujeme zalévat pouze spodem, kdy vložíte sadbovač do misky s vodou a necháte vodu vzlínat. Zalitím svrchu spláchnete všechna vysetá semínka. Pro klíčení je možné využít i formu rosení.

PŘESAZENÍ

3 týdny po vyklíčení doporučujeme přesadit do většího sadbovače. Ven pak přesazujeme až po posledních mrazech.
