To make them look as natural as possible in beds, it is good to plant them in several pieces in loose groups along with other drought-tolerant perennials and bulbs. Only then will their stems and inflorescences come alive with the slightest breath of wind. 'Ponny Tails' is a species native to the steppes of Mexico, Texas, and Patagonia. Airy, dense tufts of hair-like, delicate leaves resemble horsehair. The leaves are green, turning straw-colored towards the flowers. It even self-seeds in a suitable location.

Mai Tai začíná nakvétat v broskvových tónech s růžovým nádechem a později přechází do tlumenějších pastelových tónů. Kvete velmi bujně s velkou násadou květů. Mai Tai byl vyšlechtěn v USA roce 2005.

A classic perennial for cutting. In the garden, it can also be used in modern steppe beds with grasses and drought-tolerant perennials. 'Flamingo' has a pink, double flower.

A valuable garden and medicinal perennial, native to North America. The spiky flower cones are an irresistible magnet for butterflies. They last 7–10 days in a vase. After the petals are picked, the stems with the central cones can be dried or used in fresh bouquets as an interesting element. White Swan blooms with milky white flowers with brown-orange centers. The petals are not spread out completely horizontally; they bend slightly downwards.

Catananche is a medium-tall, short-lived perennial. It originates from the Mediterranean and is therefore suitable for areas with milder winters. Attractive blue flowers that resemble chicory. The undeveloped flower buds are also beautiful, as are the silvery faded inflorescences. Also suitable for drying. Fresh, they last 7 days in a vase.

This vigorous, late-flowering, and tall variety produces large inflorescences in a warm pink tone.

Perennial sweet pea, with its flowers resembling the annual spring sweet pea. Unlike the annual variety, it is not fragrant. It is very well suited for cutting and for growing with support. Like the fragrant sweet pea, it is poisonous.

Jacob's Ladder is a native wild perennial cultivated in gardens as an ornamental plant since the 16th century. It has individual leaves arranged in a strikingly regular pattern, hence its common name Jacob's Ladder. Harvest when about a third of the flowers are open. It lasts 7 to 10 days in a vase. The 'White Pearl' cultivar has pure white flowers with yellow stamens.

Requires a sunny position, can tolerate moderate partial shade. Once established, it handles drought well. Ideal is regular, well-draining garden soil. Iceland poppy flowers are simple, slightly larger than annual corn poppies, and last longer in a vase. They appear throughout spring, sometimes even in September. The leaves are fresh green and arranged in a basal rosette. The entire plant secretes milky sap. Like all poppies, for use in bouquets, we harvest them as soon as the buds color up and "burst open." Additionally, we briefly (for about 20 seconds) sear the ends of the stems with a flame and immediately place them in cold water. They will then last 4 days in a vase.

Broadleaf sea lavender, also known as Statice, is a plant originally from the steppe regions of Southern Europe. Leathery leaves form basal rosettes, from which veiled panicles of tiny, light lavender-colored flowers emerge. Perfect for bouquets; for drying, harvest when the flowers are fully colored.
