Great news for all Snapdragon lovers! A new "openfaced" Snapdragon has finally appeared on the market, meaning an open flower instead of the classic Snapdragon "mouth". And the second piece of good news is that we immediately produced it in the form of a color mix!
If you are hesitating on which color to choose, Frappe Mix is a great choice; all available shades are represented. Sandy, white, and light pink.
The open-faced Snapdragon series Chantilly seems to be unavailable long-term, so we are glad to have a replacement for you. And it seems to be an even greater replacement. The stems are robust, the plants tall – in our opinion, true cut flower quality!

Pure splendor! We don't have nicer photos for this year because every year we cut the ornamental carrot down to the last stem and there is simply no time left for photos. Thin, strong stems and umbel inflorescences resembling dill at their ends. There are thousands of tiny flowers on each stem creating a veil or lace effect. It is a mixture of colors, where some flowers are pure white, but the majority are chocolate to burgundy with a touch of white.

Ammobium alatum
Ammobium Grandiflorum
'Grandiflorum' might suggest something large, but the opposite is true; Ammobium is one of the tiniest flowers we grow on the farm. The plant isn't very tall, maximum 45 cm, but each one will give you 10 to 15 stems with tiny white stars at the ends. Once opened, the flowers are bright yellow. The florets resemble a Strawflower and dry just as well. For drying, we recommend harvesting at the bud stage, but if you dry already opened yellow flowers, you get an interesting white-brown combination that is also worth it. It fits perfectly into wedding floristry, especially wreaths, because it doesn't wilt.
For drying, we harvest it the moment the first flowers open. The yellow center of the flower shouldn't be too protruding yet. Just hang them upside down in a dry and ventilated place, out of direct sunlight.

Peony Poppy Cream
Large double flowers are missing at the turn of spring and summer. The last Ranunculus finish blooming and there is plenty of time before the first Dahlias arrive. On our farm, it was always a struggle to find beautiful, full, and large flowers for bouquets at that time. But we succeeded! We filled the void with China asters and peony-flowered Poppies. These Poppies reliably replace peonies, Ranunculus, and Dahlias. Just keep in mind that they don't last long and need a little care to last in a bouquet. We harvest when the bud cracks, sear the ends of the stems in water for a few seconds, and let them finish opening in the vase. Peony Poppy Salmon is a warm pink color.

After blooming, the top of the stem bursts into a delicate firework display. We use it in wedding corsages all the time; it creates a wonderful impression in bouquets, and in larger quantities in a flower bed, it is pure charm!

Pro rovnoměrné zastoupení všech barev mixu doporučujeme vždy vysít celé balení semen!
VÝSEV
U hledíků si vždy doporučujeme předpěstovat sazeničky, přímý výsev nebude fungovat.
Semena hledíku jsou titěrná, připravte se tedy na mravenčí práci. Sejte na povrch substrátu a nezakrývejte, jelikož hledík potřebuje světlo ke klíčení. Zdůrazňujeme tedy semínka ničím nezakrývat, ani vrstvou vermikulitu.
Udržujte sadbovač v teplotě 16 - 20 °C.
Semena hledíku jsou drobounká, proto do té doby, než nevyrostou v pořádné sazeničky, je nutné zalévat pouze spodem, kdy vložíte sadbovač do misky s vodou a necháte vodu vzlínat. Můžete zalívat i vrchem, jen používejte to nejjemnější rosení (mlžení), jinak spláchnete vysetá semínka.
Za ideálních podmínek hledík vyklíčí za 4 - 7 dní a v sadbovači, než naroste v pořádnou sazeničku, stráví 4 - 5 týdnů. Hledíky mohou jít ze sadbovače rovnou do záhonu, není potřeba je už přesazovat do většího sadbovače, nebo do květináčků. Doporučujeme jen sazeničky otužit, aby si zvykly na venkovní podmínky a trochu zesílily.
SÁZENÍ
Sazeničky hledíků vydrží lehké mrazíky (- 6 °C), nebojte se je tedy sázet i před posledními mrazy, zvládnou to. Sázíme ve sponu 15 × 15 cm.
Hledíky nezaštipujeme. Jedna sazenička vám vytvoří jeden pořádný stonek a několik postranních stonků, budou se tedy přirozeně větvit.
Lze hledíky pěstovat i v intenzivnějším sponu (40 - 65 rostlin na m2, nebo dokonce 65 - 105 rostlin na m2), tam ale riskujeme, že se nám u nich objeví houbové choroby. Je tedy lepší jim dát více prostoru.
PĚSTOVÁNÍ
Hledíkům se daří v humózní půdě, před sázením můžete do záhonů zapravit vyzrálý kompost. Vyberte pro ně slunné stanoviště.
Ideální je hledíky zalévat u kořenů tak, aby listy zůstaly suché. Předejdeme tak různým houbovým chorobám, které hledíky mohou potrápit. U hledíku držte pravidelnou zálivku a nezapomeňte pravidelně přihnojovat. Jakmile začnou hledíky kvést můžete na zálivce ubrat.
OPORA
Pokud jste profesionál a pěstujete hledíky k řezu, doporučujeme oporu, resp. síť, kterou budou hledíky prorůstat. Bez opory se totiž jinak může stát, že stonky budou zahnuté a jinak pokroucené. Pro krásně rovné stonky je síť nutností.
SKUPINY HLEDÍKŮ
Hledíky se dělí do 4 skupin, skupina 1 jsou ty nejranější a skupina 4 pozdní. Skupinu 1 tedy můžete sít a vysazovat jako první, jelikož vám pokvete i při nižší teplotě a kratších dnech. Zatímco skupinu 4 raději nechete až na konec léta.

Pure splendor! We don't have nicer photos for this year because every year we cut the ornamental carrot down to the last stem and there is simply no time left for photos. Thin, strong stems and umbel inflorescences resembling dill at their ends. There are thousands of tiny flowers on each stem creating a veil or lace effect. It is a mixture of colors, where some flowers are pure white, but the majority are chocolate to burgundy with a touch of white.

Larkspurs are spring beauties that are unmatched. But if you want to harvest them for cut flowers, you must be vigilant and harvest quickly before all buds open. Especially in the warm springs of recent years, they bloom quickly, so we sow several batches 14 days apart just to keep up with the harvest. Larkspur QIS White is a delicate white, fitting beautifully into wedding floristry. From one plant you will harvest one thicker stem and 4-5 smaller side ones.

Statice QIS Pastel
Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. QIS Pastel is a beautiful sample of colors in tones of blue, violet, lavender and pink. One plant produces at least 15 stems.
For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.
