Nostalgic Cottage Collection
This collection presents a shapely, diverse foundation for creating a perennial bed with the atmosphere of a countryside holiday. It is suitable for a sunny spot with good soil and, at the start, the option for watering. Over time, these tried-and-tested, resilient perennials will manage even without your daily presence. A colorful base is formed by 'Summer Pastels' yarrow. If you have a favorite color, you can choose from our other cultivars. And then we have something of every color: Pink mallow for repeat flowering; blue, pink, or white sage of your choice. The vertical highlights are undoubtedly provided by hollyhock, fennel, and sweet pea, each in its own way. Sweet pea will appreciate support to climb on; you can choose white, pink, or a mix. Fennel with its airy umbels will serve as a gentle background for lower species and can easily be replaced by dill, for instance. Tall hollyhocks are a classic in country gardens. They are usually classified as biennials or short-lived perennials. If you prefer longevity, reach for those with simple flowers from the 'Spotlight' series, and if you are a lover of double flowers, you will surely forgive your favorites their impermanence. And daisies? A summer classic you simply cannot do without. Feverfew and foxglove round out the entire collection. You can pre-grow them from seeds or occasionally buy them directly at our nursery. For a spring effect, it is great to supplement this collection with daffodils and tulips. And if you desire an even more diverse selection of species, combine this package with our 'Fragrant Collection for Roses' or add aromatic herbs for utility.
When planning, count on an average of six to seven perennials per m², depending on the soil quality in your garden and your intentions. In nutritious and sufficiently moist soil, perennials will grow faster and the distances between them can be larger to start with; in poorer conditions, it will be better to plant them more densely. The time you can dedicate to bed maintenance will also be a deciding factor.
With our collection, you can work creatively and adapt it to your needs and your garden. In the basket, you can easily adjust plant counts and choose appropriate species and cultivar substitutes. For example, if you are already growing some of the perennials in this collection and only need to supplement your bed, you can keep only the selected species in your basket. Conversely, when shopping in autumn, you can take advantage of available bulbs and order the complete collection, including spring bulbs and alliums, which will ensure your bed has plenty of flowers in both spring and summer.

An original wild perennial with a large distribution area from Europe to Siberia. Suitable for natural and wild plantings. It grows in meadows and dry grassy places. A very adaptable and undemanding plant, it grows in clumps and spreads by runners. By cutting back after the first flowering, we encourage a set of new flowers. For bouquets, we harvest when the florets are fully open. It lasts 10 days in a vase. Summer Pastels is characterized by a changeable and soft range of colors from white and vanilla to salmon, brick red, and bronze.

The Sir Winston Churchill daffodil has rightfully earned the title of king among daffodils. This unmistakable cultivar blooms a little later, usually during April and May, filling your garden with a strong and very pleasant fragrance. On sturdy stems that grow to a height of around fifty centimeters, you will not find just one flower, but a cluster of several smaller ones. Elegant creamy-white outer petals are perfectly complemented by a rich, double-flowered center in soft orange tones. In the past, it was highly valued; in the 16th century, it was even considered a panacea, and its leaves, flowers, or unripe seeds were commonly consumed as vegetables. Today, we appreciate it in gardens mostly for its ability to quickly fill empty spaces in newly established plantings. It looks impressive already in its first season, drawing attention while other perennials are still slowly gathering strength. Although it is a short-lived perennial, it reliably maintains itself in its location through self-seeding, so you will enjoy its presence for many years. Mullein Sixteen Candles
Mullein is a native European perennial that brings a piece of wild nature's magic to gardens. In the wild, you will most often find it growing on sunny, rocky hillsides and drier grassy spots, where it withstands a lack of water well. Thanks to this origin, it is a very undemanding plant, whose cultivation even a complete beginner can easily manage. In the garden, it will do best in full sun in well-drained and rather sandy soil, where it will not suffer from waterlogging. It produces striking, over a meter tall stems full of vibrant flowers, bringing necessary height and firm structure to mixed perennial beds. Even though it is classified among short-lived perennials, it grows reliably in a sunny spot and seamlessly handles frosts below minus twenty degrees.
During May and June, the thick stems are covered with a flood of bright yellow flowers. For bees, bumblebees, and plenty of other beneficial pollinators, mullein is a huge attraction and a rich source of food. If you enjoy making bouquets from your own garden, you will certainly appreciate that it is perfectly suited for cutting into summer vases, where it brings a bit of meadow relaxation. In addition, you can let the faded, sturdy stems dry and use them for winter decorations or other floral creations. The 'Sixteen Candles' cultivar stands out with a beautiful detail in the form of striking, purple-fuzzed stamens that decorate the center of each flower. The Dalmatian Rose cultivar brings an unmistakable charm to gardens with striking pink flowers on sturdy stems. Foxglove is a native species of Central Europe, seeking out moist meadows and forest glades. We have prepared a mature seedling in a pot for you, which you can easily transplant to the flowerbed. It suits sun and partial shade, and will most appreciate ordinary loamy and well-drained soil. It forms a basal rosette of leaves and in spring sends up stems up to one hundred and twenty centimeters tall. As a short-lived perennial, it self-seeds in a suitable location, so you will not lose it. The flowers bloom during May and attract bees, butterflies, and bumblebees from afar. It is an extremely undemanding plant without pests, surviving severe frosts around minus twenty-eight degrees. Since the entire plant is poisonous, it is mainly suitable for ornamental flowerbeds. It serves excellently for floristic purposes and in bouquets. Stems with bells stay fresh in a vase for six to eight days. This variety blooms abundantly right in its first year and has a very distinct pattern in the throat.

Sweet pea Red Pearl
The perennial sweet pea Red Pearl with its rich colors easily livens up any empty fence or pergola. In the wild, you will find it predominantly in light woodlands and on warm slopes across Europe. In our climate, it will do great in a sunny to semi-shady spot with ordinary loamy and well-drained soil. It does not require any complicated care, so even a complete beginner can easily handle its cultivation. It is a climbing plant that likes to climb to a height of up to two and a half meters. As soon as our grown seedling in a pot arrives at your home, choose a place for it by a reliable support and give it adequate watering after transplanting. Throughout the entire summer, it forms conspicuous pinkish-red flowers, which, unlike their annual relatives, do not smell, but make up for it with their endurance and ability to attract bees from the entire surroundings. The Red Pearl variety stands out precisely for its intense flower color and excellent health, thanks to which it does not suffer from pests or common diseases. Moreover, it is fully frost-hardy and will survive the winter without any problems. The long flowering shoots are perfect for a vase, where they give a very natural rustic impression. Just keep in mind that the whole plant is poisonous, so handle it carefully after cutting.

The inflorescences consist of striking lipped flowers, which are a huge attraction for bees and bumblebees. Sky Dance has light blue flowers.

Tree mallow 'Barnsley Baby' is a compact variant of the popular perennial that brings a touch of Mediterranean romance and lightness to the garden. Unlike its massive relatives, which grow to impressive dimensions in their homeland, this cultivar stays low with a height of around 75 centimeters. Thanks to this, it fits perfectly even into smaller perennial beds, front gardens, or mixed plantings, where other tree mallows would take up too much space. The plant forms a dense, richly branched bush covered with green leaves, which from June to August gets literally covered in a multitude of large, delicate pink flowers resembling hibiscuses. These are an irresistible attraction not only for the human eye but especially for bees and other pollinators, who find a rich source of nectar in them. As a plant originally from the Mediterranean, tree mallow 'Barnsley Baby' requires full sun and well-drained, loamy soil in which it is not at risk of waterlogging. Although it ranks among short-lived perennials, it will richly compensate for this trait with its speed of growth and blooming intensity right in the first season after planting. In our conditions, its frost resistance is limited to about -10 °C, so it is advisable to cover the plant with conifer branches for winter or plant it in a protected, warm location, for example by the south wall of a house. The flowers are edible and can decorate summer salads or desserts, and if you want to bring a piece of summer home, the sturdy stems also last well in a vase as charming cut flowers.

Common fennel is an imposing aromatic perennial that brings an unrepeatable veil effect into the garden. It originally hails from the Mediterranean, where it grows in sunny places. Therefore, it also prefers full sun and well-drained loamy soil here. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant into the flower bed, spacing them sixty centimeters apart. It grows to over a meter tall and is cultivated for its finely divided leaves in green to bronze shades, but it does not form bulbs. In summer, yellow-green umbels appear, acting as a magnet for bees and other pollinators. The entire plant smells of anise, and both its leaves and flowers are edible. It handles severe frosts without difficulty, doesn't suffer from diseases or pests, and any beginner can manage its care. In a suitable spot, it reliably self-seeds. It pairs beautifully with ornamental grasses, the flowers last seven to ten days in a vase, and the mature umbels can be dried for winter decorations.
