This type of persicaria has its origins in the mountainous regions of the Himalayas, where it naturally inhabits moister meadows and forest edges. As a result, the plant is very hardy and vigorous even in the garden, loves nutritious, humous soils that retain moisture, and thrives in both sun and partial shade. In plantings, it is valued for its ability to quickly close the canopy and suppress weeds, while not suffering from diseases or pests. Its dense clumps of fresh green leaves form a perfect undergrowth under taller shrubs or trees and bring dynamics to the beds even when other summer perennials are already fading. Its unusually shaped flowers appear gradually from July to September and confidently attract an abundance of beneficial bees, bumblebees, and butterflies to the garden. The dry stems left in the beds create a very eye-catching winter effect and give the resting garden a completely new and interesting dimension over the winter.

Kalimeris originates from East Asia, where it grows in open, light forests and meadows. It forms firm upright clumps; it is a healthy and very long-flowering perennial. Its blooms resemble autumn China asters, and it complements them perfectly in beds, as it begins blooming as early as July. The Antonia cultivar has blue-violet flowers.

The 'Rosato Rose Pink' valerian is a richly flowering perennial whose original homeland is the sunny and warm Mediterranean. It grows there on rocky slopes, and therefore, even in your garden, it will appreciate rather poorer, well-drained sandy or loamy soil in direct sun. The seedling you receive from us in a pot simply needs to be transplanted into the flowerbed, where it will quickly form an airy bush with gray-green leaves up to one meter tall. It is completely undemanding, does not need support, does not suffer from diseases or pests, and can handle frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees. Although it belongs among short-lived perennials, it reliably self-seeds in a suitable location. Among perennials, valerian has an unrivaled longest blooming period. Catmints are ideal companions for roses, suitable for naturalistic gardens, and lower species also for boxes and pots. Some of them are an irresistible attraction for cats, caused by the hallucinogen nepetalactone. This should be present in the highest amount in the species Nepeta cataria. Conversely, lemon-scented catmints reportedly do not attract cats. The botanical name Nepeta likely comes from the name of the ancient Etruscan city Nepet - Nepi in the territory of today's Italian province of Viterbo, where the plant was once cultivated. Nepeta racemosa naturally grows on dry meadows and rocky, stony slopes from the Caucasus to Central Asia. It has aromatic grey-green leaves and forms a tufted semi-spherical bush. Walker’s Low got its name after an Irish estate where it was bred in 1970. It has the most intense blue-violet flower coloration.

Feather grass 'Allgäu' is a reliable ornamental grass that will bring lightness and constant movement to the garden. As a native species, it grows on dry, sunny slopes in Central Europe. Thanks to its origin, it is extremely resilient, loves full sun, and well-drained sandy or loamy soil. It tolerates drought excellently, and even a beginner can easily manage its cultivation. You can simply transplant our grown seedling into your flower bed, and soon you will delight in dense clumps of green leaves. These grow 60 to 80 centimeters tall and require a space of 70 centimeters around them. From June to September, it forms creamy and silver inflorescences changing into beige tones. Feather grass beautifully complements drought-loving perennials and readily self-seeds in a suitable location. The long stalks are excellent for cutting into vases and drying for decorations.
