Pure splendor! We don't have nicer photos for this year because every year we cut the ornamental carrot down to the last stem and there is simply no time left for photos. Thin, strong stems and umbel inflorescences resembling dill at their ends. There are thousands of tiny flowers on each stem creating a veil or lace effect. It is a mixture of colors, where some flowers are pure white, but the majority are chocolate to burgundy with a touch of white.

The best-selling cut Zinnia ever! But the main thing is the color! Antique wine fading into antique pink. The Queen Lime series is our favorite Zinnia; it's love at first sight! The flowers are large, up to 10 cm, surrounded by many petals, giving a double-flowered appearance. Moving towards the center, the petals get smaller and end up unopened at the center, creating a frosted cupcake effect. No other Zinnia compares!

You can't imagine anything more meadow-like! The blue color is absolutely enchanting and it is a terrible shame that it can only be grown at lower temperatures. The Tall Double series is a fuller-flowered Cornflower than the one we see along the roadsides.

Great news for all Snapdragon lovers! Finally, a new "open-faced" Snapdragon has appeared on the market, meaning an open flower instead of the classic Snapdragon "mouth". And the second piece of good news is that we immediately added it to our assortment! Snapdragon Frappe Light Pink blooms in shades of the lightest cool pink. The Chantilly series of open-faced Snapdragons seems to be unavailable long-term, so we are glad to have a replacement for you. And it seems to be an even greater replacement. The stems are robust, the plants tall—for us, true cut-flower quality!

And the list of good news doesn't end there, because Frappe Apricot is the most beautiful color that appeared in our beds in 2024! It blooms in colors of dusty yellow, a shade of sand, and the buds and lower parts of the flowers turn pink. And that is a bomb combination! The color is truly unprecedented, so it will make every arrangement and bouquet special. It goes great with both cool and warm colors. Our favorite combination was: Snapdragon Frappe Apricot, Feverfew, Sea Oats, and Rhodanthe Pierrot White.

Flowering tobacco has large basal rosettes and tiny brown-bronze flowers on long, straight stems. You can also grow it in a planter. In the evening, flowering tobacco begins to smell wonderful. It is absolutely perfect for a flower bed! One plant produces at least 7 strong, branching stems.

Celway has tiny brushes on beautiful, straight stems, and Celway Salmon is a particularly successful salmon-brick shade. An interesting texture for bouquets; it adds uniqueness and also dries great for winter bouquets. One plant produces one strong stem with a flood of spikes; after cutting, you can harvest a few more thin stems.

The Barlow series is our favorite Columbine because the flowers are double-flowered! We grow Columbines at our farm as annuals, so we sow new ones every year. This saves space and we achieve longer stems. We grow part of the Columbines in a polytunnel and thus manage the harvest for Mother's Day, when flowers are scarce. Black Barlow is a beautiful dark wine color.

Delicate silky white petals and a yellow center. It lives up to its name literally! We have been growing Poppies since the first days of Loukykvět, and this year we are returning to them. The Poppy needs more care as a cut flower and does not last as long in a vase. But! It is such a beauty that it is worth it anyway. Here is our guide for Poppies. We harvest buds that have just cracked open. It is enough to see a crack on the bud and the color inside. The Poppy has only a few petals, so it takes a moment to open. We trim the ends fresh and scald them in hot water (just boil water and use it immediately), or singe the ends with a flame. The heat helps the Poppy open paths for water absorption and it will not wilt. We arrange freshly opened pieces or buds in bouquets, knowing the Poppy will open during the day. If you plan to sow Poppies just for pleasure in the flower bed, none of this is necessary, of course :)

Knautia macedonica is an abundantly and long-flowering undemanding perennial. Its wild form originates from the Balkans, where it grows in meadows and scrubland. It enchants in flower beds with slender, tall stems bearing pastel burgundy and pink flowers. Suitable for naturalistic sunny to semi-shady beds and meadow bouquets.
