This species originates from the regions of Central and South America, where it inhabits drier and sunny areas. It loves well-drained, rather sandy soil and can easily handle occasional lack of moisture. Flowering tobacco has large basal rosettes and longer tubular flowers on strong stems. You can also grow it in a planter. In the early evening, flowering tobacco begins to smell wonderful. A perfect piece for a flower bed!
