In flower beds, due to its rapid growth and development as well as abundant flowering, it is perfectly suited for filling gaps in freshly established plantings. It looks very effective already in the first season and steals all the attention at a time when other perennials are still taking their time. The fragrant and tender flowers are very suitable for cutting into a vase and also attract bees.

Feverfew is an aromatic, richly branched plant with pinnate leaves and tiny, single or double florets appearing in large numbers. On a suitable site, it is a perennial with the ability to self-seed. Elsewhere, it is short-lived and grown as a biennial. Excellent for cutting, lasting 7–10 days in a vase. Orinoco has creamy yellow flowers with reduced petals. The centers are depressed and slightly more richly colored.

This Yarrow grows primarily in damp or wet habitats – wet meadows, springs, banks of watercourses and ponds. The flowers are semi-double with a gray-yellow center. They last 10 days in a vase.

Gaura is a clump-forming perennial native to Texas and Louisiana. Here, it behaves more like a short-lived perennial. It combines beautifully with grasses and adds lightness and airiness to flower beds. It is excellent pasture for insects. Tiny flowers resembling small butterflies bloom tirelessly from June until the first frosts. For bouquets, harvest as soon as the first two or three flowers on the stem open. The pure white blooming Cool Breeze has no hint of pink like other varieties. The flowers have greenish-white stamens, and the buds are also greenish-white. It grows more compactly than other Gauras.

Lemon basil with bright green leaves and white flowers with a pink tinge. It has the strongest lemon scent and taste of all lemon basils. The aroma also contains undertones of cinnamon and mint with a floral touch.

To look most natural in beds, it is good to plant them in loose groups of several pieces together with other drought-loving perennials and bulbs. Only then do their stems and inflorescences, set in motion by the slightest breath of wind, truly stand out. Stipa 'Ponny Tails' is a species native to the steppes of Mexico, Texas, and Patagonia. Airy, dense clumps of hair-like delicate leaves resemble horsehair. The leaves are green, turning up to straw-colored towards the flowers. In a suitable location, it also self-seeds.
