On our farm, it was always a struggle at that time to find beautiful, full, large flowers for bouquets. But we succeeded! We filled the void with asters and peony-flowered poppies. These poppies reliably replace peonies, ranunculus, and dahlias. Just keep in mind that they don't bloom for long and need a bit of care to last in a bouquet. We harvest buds just as they are about to open, sear the stem ends in water for a few seconds, and let them fully open in the vase. Peony-flowered poppy Salmon is a warm pink color.

UPOZORNĚNÍ
Pro rovnoměrné zastoupení všech barev mixu doporučujeme vždy vysít celé balení semen!
ÚVOD
U pěstování fialy jsou nejdůležitější dvě věci.
První, i přesto, že se jedná o fialu letní, fiala roste v nižších teplotách (15 - 20 °C). Kvete tedy na jaře a na podzim. Pěstovat fialu během léta není moc možné.
Za druhé, u fialy se často objevuje termín plnokvětost, např. série Katz je z 50% plnokvětá. Ve výsledku to znamená, že jen 50% rostlin bude plnokvětých. Sazeničky lze vyselektovat, nicméně je to poměrně složitý proces a v minulosti se nám to na farmě moc nedařilo. Proto nám přijde nejlepší, počítat s tím, že část fial vykvete jednoduchých a ty nějak fikaně zakomponovat do kytic.
VÝSEV
Fialu vždy předpěstováváme. Vysejeme 1 semeno do buňky sadbovače. Sejeme na povrch substrátu a zakryjeme vrstvou vermikulitu.
Při teplotě 20 - 22 °C fiala vyklíčí za 3 - 5 dní. Pozor, naopak příliš vysoká teplota (přes 25 °C) snižuje u fialy klíčivost.
V sadbovači fiala stráví 4 - 5 týdnů, než doroste v sazeničku, kterou můžete sázet do záhonu.
Před přesazením doporučujeme sazeničky fial otužit. I se sadbovačem je přesuňte ven (za okno), aby byly vystaveny venkovním podmínkám. Během otužování sazeničky krásně zesílí a budou pak lépe snášet přesazení.
ZAŠTIPOVÁNÍ
Pozor, tuto fialu nezaštipujeme, zaštípnutí by způsobilo, že by již fiala nevykvetla.
SPON
Tím, že se fialy pěstují jako jednostonkové, používá se i intenzivnější spon. Sazeničky se sázejí 12 cm od sebe. U nás máme záhony široké 90 cm a tak sázíme celkem 7 řádků na záhon a v řádku jsou sazeničky od sebe 12 cm.
PĚSTOVÁNÍ
U fial je nejdůležitější myslet na to, že potřebují nižší teploty (ideálně 15 - 20 °C). Pokud tedy fialy pěstujete ve fóliovníku, nezapomeňte pravidelně větrat a snažit se udržet teplotu pod 20 °C.
I přesto, že fiala nijak nereaguje na délku dne, vyšší teplota a delší dny mohou u fialy způsobit předčasné kvetení. Proto je mimochodem náročné fialu pěstovat v létě. Pokvete vám totiž a bude mít sotva 15 cm.
Po přesazení záhon důkladně zalijte. U fial držte pravidelnou zálivku, aby pořádně zakořenily a zároveň rostly do výšky. Nezapomeňte pravidelně přihnojovat. Jakmile začnou fialy kvést můžete na zálivce ubrat.
OPORA
Pokud jste profesionál a pěstujete fialu k řezu, doporučujeme oporu, resp. síť, kterou budou fialy prorůstat. Bez opory se totiž jinak může stát, že stonky budou zahnuté a jinak pokroucené. Pro krásně rovné stonky je síť nutností.
SKLIZEŇ
Pokud pěstujete fialu k řezu, sklízí se často i s kořeny. Jednoduše vytáhněte celou rostlinku ze záhonu. Při skladování (nemůže být nijak dlouhé) je důležité často měnit vodu.

Summer stock is an excellent cut flower! It likes cool temperatures, yet we can grow three batches a year – two in spring and one in autumn. From one plant, you'll harvest only one flower, but it will be a truly large, fully double bloom. Stock smells wonderfully, even intoxicatingly, and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible.
The Katz series is not as susceptible to temperature changes and is generally easier to grow for beginner gardeners. However, this comes with thinner stems and a smaller proportion of fully double flowers.
Katz Apricot is the most beautiful shade of skin-toned apricot.
All stocks have some plants with full flowers and some single. The proportion varies with each series. Katz has 55-60% double-flowered plants. Therefore, we recommend growing a little extra. On our farm, however, we also use the single ones; they are wonderfully unique.

From one plant, you'll harvest only one flower, but it will be a properly large, double one. Stock has a wonderfully intoxicating fragrance and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible.
The Iron series has robust stems and all the qualities for large production. However, it is more susceptible to temperature fluctuations, making it more challenging to grow, so we recommend it more for advanced gardeners. Iron Pink is a shade of pink with delicate light reflections in the center of the flowers.
All stocks have some plants with full double flowers and some with single flowers. The proportion varies with each series. Iron has 55% double-flowered plants. We therefore recommend planting a bit more. On our farm, however, we also use the single ones; they're super unique.

From one plant, you'll harvest only one flower, but it's a wonderfully large, double bloom. Stock has a beautiful, even intoxicating fragrance and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible.
Cheerful series stock, in terms of difficulty, is somewhere between the Iron and Katz series. So, moderately demanding. A reliable choice! Cheerful Yellow is a buttery yellow color.
All stock plants have some with full flowers and some with single flowers. The proportion differs for each series. Cheerful has 90% double-flowered plants, which is an excellent score. On our farm, however, we also use the single ones; they're wonderfully fresh and unusual.

Pure splendor! We don't have prettier photos for this year because every year we cut all the carrots down to the last stem, and there's simply nothing left for photos. Thin, firm stems topped with umbellate inflorescences resembling dill. Each stem has thousands of tiny florets creating a veil or lace effect. This is a mix of colors, with some flowers being pure white, and most others chocolate to burgundy with a hint of white.

The best-selling cut zinnia ever! But the main thing is the color! Old wine transitioning to old rose. The Queen Lime series is our most popular zinnia, it's love at first sight! Flowers are large, up to 10 cm, surrounded by many petals, making them appear double-flowered. Progressing toward the center, the petals shrink until they end up unopened in the middle, creating the effect of a sugared cupcake. No other zinnia compares!

Larkspurs are spring beauties that are unparalleled. But if you want to harvest them for cut flowers, you must be vigilant and harvest quickly before all the buds open. Especially in the warm springs of recent years, they fade quickly, so we sow several batches 14 days apart to even manage the harvest. Delphinium QIS White is a delicate white, beautiful for wedding floristry. From one plant, you'll harvest one thicker main stem and 4-5 smaller side shoots.
