Pure splendor! We don't have nicer photos for this year because every year we cut the ornamental carrot down to the last stem and there is simply no time left for photos. Thin, strong stems and umbel inflorescences resembling dill at their ends. There are thousands of tiny flowers on each stem creating a veil or lace effect. It is a mixture of colors, where some flowers are pure white, but the majority are chocolate to burgundy with a touch of white.

Sea Holly
An evergreen favorite at the flower market! Sea Holly is a perennial; it lasts for several years in the flowerbed and spreads beautifully. The "flowers" and leaves are slightly prickly; it does look like a miniature thistle after all. The stems and tops are silvery blue. And mature, bloomed Sea Holly doesn't wilt, making it great for drying, wreaths, and similar uses.
For drying, harvest when the thistles are colored blue and the stem below the thistle is firm. Just hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Stock Katz Apricot
Stock is a wonderful cut flower! It likes low temperatures, yet we grow three batches a year – two in spring and one in autumn. You harvest just one bloom per plant, but it is a really large, double one. Stock smells beautiful, almost intoxicating, and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible.
The Katz series is not as susceptible to temperature changes, and is generally easier to grow for beginning gardeners. However, this comes at the cost of thinner stems and a lower percentage of double flowers. Katz Apricot is the most beautiful shade of skin-tone apricot.
All stocks produce some plants with double flowers and some single. The ratio is different for each series. Katz has 55-60% double-flowered plants. We therefore recommend growing a bit more. At our farm, however, we use the single ones too; they look super unique.

PĚSTOVÁNÍ
Orlíček doporučujeme pěstovat jako dvouletku, tzn. první rok v červnu/červenci/srpnu vysejete a na podzim zasadíte, další rok na jaře vám orlíček pokvete a sklidíte krásně dlouhé stonky. Jinak je orlíček samozřejmě trvalka, na stejném stanovišti vám bude kvést každý rok a zároveň se bude vysemeňovat. Jen je potřeba počítat s tím, že rostlina další roky nebude mít takovou energii jako rok první.
Pokud se tedy chystáte orlíček pěstovat primárně k řezu, pěstujte ho jako dvouletku a každý rok vysívejte znovu.
VÝSEV
Semena orlíčku mají obecně nižší klíčivost, proto doporučujeme do jedné buňky sadbovače vysít 1 - 2 semena. Sejte na povrch substrátu a zasypejte vrstvou vermikulitu. Nepropadejte panice, orlíčku trvá dlouho než vyklíčí! Může to být klidně 14 - 21 dní, než uvidíte první lístky.
Jakmile zaplní buňku sadbovače (4 - 8 týdnů), přesadíme si orlíček do květináčků (např. 7×7×8 cm, nebo 9×9×10 cm), necháme zakořenit a až poté přesadíme n a finální stanoviště.
STANOVIŠTĚ
Přesaďte ven ke konci léta, tak bude mít rostlina čas vytvořit si kořenový systém, než přijdou první mrazy. Přikrývat na zimu není nutné, orlíček je plně mrazuvzdorný.
Orlíček potřebuje nižší teploty ke kvetení, proto ho doporučujeme sázet do polostínu. Pokud ale zahradničíte v místech s chladnými jarními teplotami a udržíte rostliny zalévané, snesou i plné sluníčko.

Statice QIS Pastel
Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. QIS Pastel is a beautiful sample of colors in tones of blue, violet, lavender and pink. One plant produces at least 15 stems.
For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

You can't imagine anything more meadow-like! It is a terrible shame that it can only be grown at lower temperatures. The Tall Double series is a fuller-flowered Cornflower than the one we see along the roadsides. And Black Boy is a truly unique specimen. The color is dark burgundy to black.

Cosmos are one of the most popular flowers at our farm. They resemble Daisies and customers love them. Rosetta comes in shades of darker and lighter pink painted like brush strokes. A variety with beautifully strong, firm stems. One plant produces at least 12 stems.
