Walker’s Low got its name after an Irish estate where it was bred in 1970. It has the most intense blue-violet flower coloration.

The majestic larkspur Benary’s Pacific Black Knight will bring original beauty and a striking vertical structure to your garden. In the wild, the original species of larkspurs grow in lush meadows with nutritious soil. Therefore, in the garden, it will reliably appreciate full sun and sufficiently moist, humous loam. The firm flower stalks are absolutely ideal for fresh bouquets, where they will stay fresh for about seven days. However, do not place the vase next to ripening fruit, to whose ethylene larkspur is sensitive and would wilt faster. If you want to preserve its beauty longer, try drying it. The dark flowers retain their pigment excellently and will enliven absolutely any dried arrangement.

The Allium amethystinum cultivar known as Red Mohican brings original burgundy colors and playful shapes to garden beds. Meadow Sage occurs in our country primarily in warmer regions, especially in southern Moravia and northern and central Bohemia. It grows on sunny meadows, slopes, and along roadsides. The fragrant leaves form a basal rosette, from which several sparsely leafy, branched stems grow. Everyone knows classic field cornflowers, but the 'Tall Double Red Boy' variety brings a completely different spectacle to the garden. It is a very unusual shade of deep raspberry, which we fell in love with immediately after one plant accidentally bloomed among our blue cornflowers last year. The richly double flowers measure approximately four centimeters in diameter and grow on stems up to eighty centimeters tall. The silvery gray-green foliage gives the whole composition a delicate look that beautifully softens the surrounding planting. The raspberry cornflower stands out best in natural-looking flower beds, where it pairs perfectly with ornamental grasses, daisies, or white-flowering annuals. Throughout the summer, it serves as a plentiful feast for bees and bumblebees. Lovers of fresh arrangements love using it in colorful summer bouquets, where its unconventional color immediately catches everyone's eye. It works just as well for drying into dry decorations that will remind you of warm days even during the cold months. Bred feverfew, the inflorescence consists only of tubular florets, i.e., a center without ray florets or petals. Crown White is a commonly grown species in Holland and sells great at the flower exchange. It is therefore professional seed, but don't worry, we tested it and it can be grown both outdoors and in a polytunnel; both work perfectly. Crown White has slightly longer tubular flowers, giving a disheveled impression. The color is pure, bright white.

Our favorite foliage and filler. It grows beautifully and binds famously! The flowers are yellowish, so they don't color-match every bouquet, but we still never have enough of it! And after flowering, tiny seed pods form which are also beautifully decorative and don't wilt; we love collecting those too.

This airy perennial has its origins in the Mediterranean region, where it decorates warm, sunny slopes and dry places. Thanks to this, it is completely undemanding, and in your garden, it will do best in full sun with well-drained, sandy, or loamy soil. The striking red shade of the 'Pretty Betsy Red' variety is complemented by gray-green leaves. Valerian holds one amazing record, as it offers the longest blooming period of all perennials. From early summer until early autumn, it constantly adorns itself with tiny edible florets clustered in convex panicles. Even complete beginners can easily manage its care. Pests and diseases avoid the plant, and it easily handles severe frosts. Even though it grows as a short-lived plant, it willingly self-seeds. A historical classic that never gets old. That is how one could describe the iris, whose original homeland is the warm and sunny regions of the Mediterranean. Furthermore, it creates a beautiful structural element in the flower bed thanks to its grey-green leaves.

Peonies are valuable in gardens for their large and impressive flowers. They are long-lived perennials for patient gardeners. It takes them several years to grow to full beauty and for you to see abundant flowering. Since the plant is not suitable for drying, it will bring you joy primarily outdoors in the garden or in the aforementioned spring vases. During the season, just occasionally check if it is bothered by aphids or powdery mildew; otherwise, it needs no special attention. The 'Black Barlow' variety catches the eye with double flowers in an unconventional shade of very dark purple. They look fantastic both in the flowerbed and in bouquets.
