Hence their scientific name Helenium. A great perennial for cutting with a long durability of up to 14 days. Helena Red Shades blooms in shades from red to copper.

A lesser-known species of Yarrow has dark green glossy serrated leaves that remain attractive throughout the growing season, and a sweet pink color of flowers that are larger than the flowers of common Yarrow. It lasts 10 days in a vase.

Requires a sunny location, but tolerates slight partial shade. Once established, it handles drought well. Ordinary, well-drained garden soil is ideal. Iceland poppy flowers are single, slightly larger than annual common poppies, and also last longer in a vase. They appear throughout spring, sometimes even into September. Meadow sage occurs here primarily in warmer regions, especially in southern Moravia and northern and central Bohemia. It grows on sunny meadows and hillsides and along paths. Fragrant leaves form a basal rosette, from which several less leafy branched stems grow. The inflorescences are composed of striking bilabiate flowers, which are a great attraction for bees and bumblebees. Rose Rhapsody has light pink flowers.

Mallow is an undemanding native perennial with pleasantly scented pale pink flowers. Since ancient times, its leaves, flowers, and unripe seeds have been used as vegetables and herbs. In the 16th century, it was even considered a panacea. In flower beds, due to its rapid growth and development as well as rich flowering, it is perfectly suited for filling gaps in newly established plantings. It looks very effective already in the first season and grabs all the attention at a time when other perennials are still taking their time. The fragrant and delicate flowers are very suitable for cutting into vases and also attract bees. A beautiful pure white form of mallow, elegant in combination with roses or in drought-loving communities.

This species of iris probably originates from the Mediterranean. A long-favored ornamental garden plant, bred into many cultivars. Allegedly grown by the Celts, it was popular in the Middle Ages and became a heraldic plant. It lasts 3–7 days in a vase. Black Knight has a purple-black flower.

Eucalyptus 'Silver Dollar' has round, silvery grey-green young leaves. With us, it is most often used as a portable potted plant that benefits from spending the summer on sunny terraces and balconies. Before the first frosts, it is moved to a frost-free, bright space.

Cupid's dart is a medium-tall short-lived perennial. It originates from the Mediterranean and is therefore suitable for regions with milder winters. Its flowers are white and shaped like chicory. The undeveloped flower buds are also attractive, as are the silvery spent flower heads. It is also suitable for drying. Fresh stems last 7 days in a vase. Alba has white flowers.

This Phlomis grows wild in Central and Southeastern Europe; here it is among the critically endangered species. The stems are purple and bear rough, heart-shaped leaves. The flowers are pink-purple; the dry capsules with seeds are also decorative. It creates a distinct decorative element even in winter. Particularly impressive is the combination with soft, loose plantings of grasses and perennials, into which Phlomis introduces a strict graphic accent.

Dropwort is a drought-loving native perennial that naturally handles very dry sites thanks to its tuberous, thickened roots. It forms rosettes of finely cut leaves. Its fragrant, milky-white inflorescences are floristically valuable. The buds, which look like tiny pearls, are interesting, as is the post-blooming stage in the form of small stars. It lasts a week in a vase.
