Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. One plant produces at least 15 stems.
For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Peony Poppy Cream
Large double flowers are missing at the turn of spring and summer. The last Ranunculus finish blooming and there is plenty of time before the first Dahlias arrive. On our farm, it was always a struggle to find beautiful, full, and large flowers for bouquets at that time. But we succeeded! We filled the void with China asters and peony-flowered Poppies. These Poppies reliably replace peonies, Ranunculus, and Dahlias. Just keep in mind that they don't last long and need a little care to last in a bouquet. We harvest when the bud cracks, sear the ends of the stems in water for a few seconds, and let them finish opening in the vase. Peony Poppy Salmon is a warm pink color.

Cínie Benary’s Giant Lime vnáší do zahrad velmi neobvyklou a žádanou barvu. Její obří plné květy září svěžím limetkovým odstínem, který na záhonu vytváří příjemný kontrast k tradičním letničkám. We think mixing different textures is the most beautiful approach for both bouquets and flower beds. And we haven't seen an effect like the one created by this ornamental grass before! After blooming, the top of the stem bursts into a delicate firework display. We use it in wedding corsages all the time; it creates a wonderful impression in bouquets, and in larger quantities in a flower bed, it is pure charm!
They are also great for drying! Harvest when the blooms are mature (their light green color is replaced by darker shades of green to brown). Just hang them upside down in a dry, ventilated place out of direct sunlight.

UPOZORNĚNÍ
Pro rovnoměrné zastoupení všech barev mixu doporučujeme vždy vysít celé balení semen!
ÚVOD
U pěstování fialy jsou nejdůležitější dvě věci.
První, i přesto, že se jedná o fialu letní, fiala roste v nižších teplotách (15 - 20 °C). Kvete tedy na jaře a na podzim. Pěstovat fialu během léta není moc možné.
Za druhé, u fialy se často objevuje termín plnokvětost, např. série Katz je z 50% plnokvětá. Ve výsledku to znamená, že jen 50% rostlin bude plnokvětých. Sazeničky lze vyselektovat, nicméně je to poměrně složitý proces a v minulosti se nám to na farmě moc nedařilo. Proto nám přijde nejlepší, počítat s tím, že část fial vykvete jednoduchých a ty nějak fikaně zakomponovat do kytic.
VÝSEV
Fialu vždy předpěstováváme. Vysejeme 1 semeno do buňky sadbovače. Sejeme na povrch substrátu a zakryjeme vrstvou vermikulitu.
Při teplotě 20 - 22 °C fiala vyklíčí za 3 - 5 dní. Pozor, naopak příliš vysoká teplota (přes 25 °C) snižuje u fialy klíčivost.
V sadbovači fiala stráví 4 - 5 týdnů, než doroste v sazeničku, kterou můžete sázet do záhonu.
Před přesazením doporučujeme sazeničky fial otužit. I se sadbovačem je přesuňte ven (za okno), aby byly vystaveny venkovním podmínkám. Během otužování sazeničky krásně zesílí a budou pak lépe snášet přesazení.
ZAŠTIPOVÁNÍ
Pozor, tuto fialu nezaštipujeme, zaštípnutí by způsobilo, že by již fiala nevykvetla.
SPON
Tím, že se fialy pěstují jako jednostonkové, používá se i intenzivnější spon. Sazeničky se sázejí 12 cm od sebe. U nás máme záhony široké 90 cm a tak sázíme celkem 7 řádků na záhon a v řádku jsou sazeničky od sebe 12 cm.
PĚSTOVÁNÍ
U fial je nejdůležitější myslet na to, že potřebují nižší teploty (ideálně 15 - 20 °C). Pokud tedy fialy pěstujete ve fóliovníku, nezapomeňte pravidelně větrat a snažit se udržet teplotu pod 20 °C.
I přesto, že fiala nijak nereaguje na délku dne, vyšší teplota a delší dny mohou u fialy způsobit předčasné kvetení. Proto je mimochodem náročné fialu pěstovat v létě. Pokvete vám totiž a bude mít sotva 15 cm.
Po přesazení záhon důkladně zalijte. U fial držte pravidelnou zálivku, aby pořádně zakořenily a zároveň rostly do výšky. Nezapomeňte pravidelně přihnojovat. Jakmile začnou fialy kvést můžete na zálivce ubrat.
OPORA
Pokud jste profesionál a pěstujete fialu k řezu, doporučujeme oporu, resp. síť, kterou budou fialy prorůstat. Bez opory se totiž jinak může stát, že stonky budou zahnuté a jinak pokroucené. Pro krásně rovné stonky je síť nutností.
SKLIZEŇ
Pokud pěstujete fialu k řezu, sklízí se často i s kořeny. Jednoduše vytáhněte celou rostlinku ze záhonu. Při skladování (nemůže být nijak dlouhé) je důležité často měnit vodu.

You harvest just one bloom per plant, but it is a really large, double one. Stock smells beautiful, almost intoxicating, and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible.
The Iron series has robust stems and all the qualities for large-scale production. However, it is more susceptible to temperature fluctuations and is therefore more difficult to grow; we recommend it for advanced gardeners. Iron White is a shade of pure white.
All stocks produce some plants with double flowers and some single. The ratio is different for each series. Iron has 55% double-flowered plants. We therefore recommend growing twice as many. At our farm, however, we use the single ones too; they look super unique.

Stock from the Cheerful series is, in terms of difficulty, somewhere between the Iron and Katz series. So moderately difficult. A reliable piece! Cheerful Yellow is a butter yellow color. All Stocks have some plants with double flowers and some simple ones. The ratio is different for every series. Cheerful has 90% double-flowered plants, which is a great score. At our farm, however, we also use the simple ones; they are super unique.

Cornflower Tall Double Blue Boy
The blue cornflower is an absolute classic of our fields and meadows, which probably needs no lengthy introduction. However, the 'Tall Double Blue Boy' variety brings something extra. Compared to its wild relatives that we see along roads, it boasts rich flowers in an unmistakable, deep blue shade, sometimes with a purple tone. You can hardly imagine anything more meadow-like. Thanks to its strong stems growing up to eighty centimeters tall, this annual is perfectly suited for cutting, adding true rustic charm to bouquets. But its use doesn't end in the vase. The flowers keep their fantastic color even after drying!
At weddings, we loved using them in flower crowns and corsages, where they have excellent stamina!
