Stock is a wonderful cut flower! It likes low temperatures, yet we grow three batches a year – two in spring and one in autumn. You harvest just one bloom per plant, but it is a really large, double one. Stock smells beautiful, almost intoxicating, and lasts a long time in a vase. The flowers are edible. The Katz series is not as susceptible to temperature changes, and is generally easier to grow for beginning gardeners. However, this comes at the cost of thinner stems and a lower percentage of double flowers. Katz Cherry Blossom is a soft shade of pink in the colors of apple blossoms. All stocks produce some plants with double flowers and some single. The ratio is different for each series. Katz has 55-60% double-flowered plants. We therefore recommend growing a bit more. At our farm, however, we use the single ones too; they look super unique.

Limonium sinuatum

Statice is a classic from grandma's garden, but also an evergreen of dried flowers. We grow statice by the hundreds! It is incredibly useful in bouquets as filler material and even undried lasts a long time in a vase. Once all the florets on the stem bloom, statice no longer wilts and is suitable for wreaths, corsages, boutonnieres. One plant produces at least 15 stems. For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Antirrhinum majus

Just when we thought there couldn't be more beauty, along came Cherry Bronze. Orange leaning into raspberry, one of the most beautiful color shades on the farm ever. We are always looking for interesting varieties and colors. And Snapdragon Madame Butterfly is our darling! The flowers are double-flowered and that takes the whole Snapdragon to a new level! Stems aren't as massive and long as, for example, the Potomac and Maryland series, but they make up for it with their doubleness. We use them in bouquets, where they create beautifully large volume. One plant produces one larger and 4 smaller side stems.

The flowers are large, up to 10 cm, surrounded by many petals, giving a double-flowered appearance. Moving towards the center, the petals get smaller and end up unopened at the center, creating a frosted cupcake effect. No other Zinnia compares!

Antirrhinum majus

The lightest powder pink. A very trendy color, you will use it essentially in the arrangement of any wedding. Snapdragons of the Costa series bloom at the same time as the Maryland Snapdragon; they are early varieties suitable for lower temperatures. Their advantage lies in special shades like apricot or powder pink.

Phlox from the drummondii family are annuals! And they are easy to grow. The plants are shorter and less woody than perennials. But if you are short on space, like us on the farm, they are perfect! Larkspurs are spring beauties that nothing compares to. However, if you want to harvest them for cut flowers, you must be vigilant and harvest quickly before all the buds open. They finish blooming quickly, especially during the warm springs of recent years, so we sow several batches 14 days apart just to keep up with the harvest. Larkspur QIS White is a soft white that fits beautifully into wedding floristry. You harvest one stronger stem and 4-5 smaller side stems from a single plant.

Cultivation

Fiala letní má ráda nízké teploty pro růst a kvetení, ideálně přes den 21°C and v noci 10-15°C.

The information given is based on our experience, please use it as a guide only. Times may vary depending on the season, climate, location, sowing and transplanting dates and possibly also the conditions in the greenhouse/greenhouse. We always recommend testing how the plant performs in your conditions. Please do not take this as a guarantee.

✨ Color mix created at Loukykvět ✨ We intended StoX Vexta Bombons as the softest pastel shades of pink, apricot, and yellow. This color mix reminds us of Czech Vexta candies at first glance, we pay tribute to them with this! The StoX series is a versatile Stock suitable for both classic spring cultivation and autumn harvest. The seed contains a high proportion of double-flowered plants, but as with every summer Stock, StoX also has pieces that flower singly. Robust stems are a great advantage, and it also withstands higher temperatures better than other Stock series.

Pure splendor! We don't have nicer photos for this year because every year we cut the ornamental carrot down to the last stem and there is simply no time left for photos. Thin, strong stems and umbel inflorescences resembling dill at their ends. There are thousands of tiny flowers on each stem creating a veil or lace effect.

QIS Pastel is a beautiful sample of colors in tones of blue, violet, lavender and pink. One plant produces at least 15 stems. For drying, we harvest statice at the stage when the stem under the flower is firm and the entire inflorescence has bloomed. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

Delphinium consolida

Larkspurs are spring beauties that are unmatched. But if you want to harvest them for cut flowers, you must be vigilant and harvest quickly before all buds open. Especially in the warm springs of recent years, they bloom quickly, so we sow several batches 14 days apart just to keep up with the harvest. Larkspur QIS White is a delicate white, fitting beautifully into wedding floristry. From one plant you will harvest one thicker stem and 4-5 smaller side ones.
