Nigella 'Miss Jekyll Sky Blue' is an absolute classic among annuals and will bring enchanting shades of deep sky and royal blue to your garden. Originally from the Mediterranean, it immediately catches the eye with its delicate foliage, which creates a fluffy green cloud. From May to August, striking blue flowers peek out from it. It grows to a height of between fifty and one hundred centimeters, making it easy to create an eye-catching structure in the flower bed. The flowers act as a reliable attractant for bees and bumblebees. Nigella is a spring beauty, but its seed pods are also great for harvesting, meaning it will last in the garden well into summer. These original, inflated seed pods are a sought-after material for florists. Fresh flowering stems beautifully liven up summer bouquets in a vase, while the dried pods perfectly complement autumn decorations, as they retain their shape for a long time.

For healthy growth, cow soapwort appreciates a bright location, but it can grow in light shade without any problems. It looks very elegant in the garden, and thanks to its structure—reminiscent of baby's breath—it combines perfectly with more robust types of flowers, for which it makes a delicate background. You can confidently cut three to four richly branched stems from each plant. They will bring great joy even if you simply place them in small vases in your living room. Cow soapwort grows and blooms very quickly from seeds, which in practice means that it also fades a bit faster. If you want to enjoy its delicate pink flowers in the bed and in the vase for as long as possible, it is worth sowing the seeds in stages. You can perform direct sowing from February to May in several consecutive phases. Even complete beginners can thus have fresh cut flowers available throughout the season.

Sunflower comes from the sunny plains of North America and is an inseparable part of our gardens as a symbol of summer. The 'ProCut White Lite' variety brings a pleasant refreshment to the yellow assortment in the form of creamy light yellow flowers with an attractive greenish-yellow center. This is a reliable single-stem annual from a professional series bred specifically for floral purposes. It does not produce pollen, so you can use it in interior decorations without worrying about allergies. In the garden, it grows to a height of eighty to one hundred and twenty centimeters. The path to your own flowers begins with seeds, which are easy to work with and provide quick results. Ideally, start the sunflower seeds by pre-growing them in the warmth for one to two weeks. Covered seeds will germinate in five to ten days. Then, transplant them into sun or partial shade. You can repeat sowings from April to August, which will cause them to bloom gradually from July to autumn. Do not pinch the plants, but provide support for straight stems. Fresh flowers last a long time in a vase and will delight lovers of clean bouquets.

The last ranunculus fade and there is a lot of time left before the first Dahlias bloom. At our farm, it was always a struggle to find beautiful full and large flowers for bouquets at that time. But we succeeded! We filled the vacuum with China asters and peony-type poppies. These poppies reliably replace the peony, ranunculus, and Dahlia. You just have to keep in mind that they don't last long in bloom and need a little care to hold in a bouquet. We harvest a cracked bud, scald the ends of the stems for a few seconds in water, and let them finish blooming in a vase.

Ammi likes low temperatures, so it is purely a spring and autumn beauty. It adds a fresh and airy effect to all bouquets, and the same applies to the flower bed. The flowers are composed of individual tiny florets resembling lace, which is why we use it instead of baby's breath. 'Casablanca' is a larger Ammi; the plants are taller and more robust, the stems stronger, and it doesn't fade as quickly. Still, we recommend sowing more than once.

We arrange freshly opened pieces or buds in bouquets, given that the poppy will open during the day. The 'Miss Jekyll Rose' cultivar brings a romantic mood with its unique flowers in shades of raspberry, fuchsia, and pure white. Its finely cut leaves resemble dill and give the entire plant an amazingly airy appearance. This undemanding annual grows to a height of fifty to one hundred centimeters and forms dense patches in the flowerbed. It thrives best in sun or partial shade with regular watering. Sown directly into the bed during the spring months or at the end of summer, it grows reliably and will soon delight you with a flood of flowers blooming from May to August. Nigella is absolutely ideal for cutting into summer bouquets, where its full blooms stay fresh for many days. It also serves a great purpose after flowering.
