It can easily withstand frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees and, apart from the occasional occurrence of the mint leaf beetle, it does not suffer from diseases. It naturally grows in southern Europe, primarily in France and on the islands of Corsica and Sardinia. There, it forms low and beautifully green carpets that release an unmistakable minty scent at the slightest touch.
