The blue cornflower is an absolute classic of our fields and meadows, which probably needs no lengthy introduction. However, the 'Tall Double Blue Boy' variety brings something extra. Compared to its wild relatives that we see along roads, it boasts rich flowers in an unmistakable, deep blue shade, sometimes with a purple tone. You can hardly imagine anything more meadow-like. Thanks to its strong stems growing up to eighty centimeters tall, this annual is perfectly suited for cutting, adding true rustic charm to bouquets. But its use doesn't end in the vase. The flowers keep their fantastic color even after drying! At weddings, we loved using them in flower crowns and corsages, where they have excellent stamina! The petals are edible. They serve perfectly as an original garnish for summer salads, desserts, or festive cakes. Moreover, in the garden, it functions as a reliable magnet for bees and bumblebees, who simply go crazy for its nectar.

Sweet rocket is, along with columbine, one of the first spring harvests. For bouquets, we mix them with tulips, daffodils, and ranunculus. The stems are beautifully long; each plant produces 5-7 of them. Light shade of purple.

True Forget-me-not. A flood of very light blue flowers with yellow centers. It is a biennial, so you will harvest substantial stems only the following year.

Large double flowers are missing at the turn of spring and summer. The last Ranunculus finish blooming and there is plenty of time before the first Dahlias arrive. On our farm, it was always a struggle to find beautiful, full, and large flowers for bouquets at that time. But we succeeded! We filled the void with China asters and peony-flowered Poppies. These Poppies reliably replace peonies, Ranunculus, and Dahlias. Just keep in mind that they don't last long and need a little care to last in a bouquet. We harvest when the bud cracks, sear the ends of the stems in water for a few seconds, and let them finish opening in the vase. Peony Poppy Salmon is a warm pink color.

Delicate silky white petals and a yellow center. It lives up to its name literally! We have been growing Poppies since the first days of Loukykvět, and this year we are returning to them. The Poppy needs more care as a cut flower and does not last as long in a vase. But! It is such a beauty that it is worth it anyway. Here is our guide for Poppies. We harvest buds that have just cracked open. It is enough to see a crack on the bud and the color inside. The Poppy has only a few petals, so it takes a moment to open. We trim the ends fresh and scald them in hot water (just boil water and use it immediately), or singe the ends with a flame. The heat helps the Poppy open paths for water absorption and it will not wilt. We arrange freshly opened pieces or buds in bouquets, knowing the Poppy will open during the day. If you plan to sow Poppies just for pleasure in the flower bed, none of this is necessary, of course :)

Spring navelwort is a groundcover woodland perennial native to southern Europe. It naturalized in our gardens as early as the 16th century, and in suitable places, it can form dense carpets of fresh green leaves. Thanks to this, it works as a reliable undergrowth beneath shrubs and trees, where it naturally retains moisture and prevents weed growth. The sky-blue flowers, strikingly similar to forget-me-nots, appear early in the spring, from March to May, and attract the first bees and other pollinators. The plant thrives in partial shade to full shade and requires humus-rich, loamy soil. It is a completely undemanding and frost-hardy perennial that is not bothered by pests or diseases. Although it is a lower plant, its tiny flowers can also be used in delicate spring arrangements.

The largeleaf brunnera comes from the moist mountain forests of the Caucasus, where it forms dense undergrowth. It is an ideal perennial for shady and semi-shady corners of your garden, where it will thrive in humus-rich, moist soil. It resembles classic forget-me-nots in appearance, but don't be fooled, its leaves are much larger, heart-shaped, and rough to the touch. Thanks to them, it acts as a great groundcover plant that sprouts early in the spring and reliably covers bare soil with its leaves until late autumn. It thus forms a natural contrasting background for the delicate, tiny flowers. Tiny sky-blue flowers appear in April, May, and June, creating a beautiful delicate veil over the green carpet of leaves. The flower clusters are also suitable for cutting into spring hand-tied bouquets, where they look very tender. Just watch out for snails and slugs, who like to feast on the juicy leaves of the brunnera, so it's a good idea to check the plants regularly. It is a long-lived and hardy perennial that handles severe frosts without problems and will bring you joy in one place for many years.

Native wild perennial with a large distribution area from Europe to Siberia. Suitable for natural and wild plantings. Grows in meadows and dry grassy places. A very adaptable and undemanding plant, grows in clumps and spreads by runners. Cutting back after the first flowering encourages a new batch of flowers. Harvest for bouquets when the florets are fully open. Lasts 10 days in a vase. The Lachsschönheit cultivar is valued for its perfect transition of tones from salmon-pink to cream.

Eucalyptus (also known as gum tree) is one of the most requested greens and fillers in floristry ever, it is trendy! The color is silvery blue-green, which is such a combination that we are not surprised by its popularity at all. Eucalyptus Silver "Dollar" grows beautifully tall, the branches are more sparsely built. The leaves are larger and round in shape. The color of Silver Dollar is more silvery and thus in floristry fits rather into colder color combinations. For drying, we harvest as soon as the tips of the twigs are mature and the last leaves are firm. Just hang them upside down, in a dry and ventilated place, out of sunlight.

The double-flowering Gudoshnik Double tulip brings a rich display of warm colors and positive energy to spring gardens. Its huge flowers, which open during April and May, resemble peonies in shape and, when in full bloom, are as large as an orange. This is not your ordinary solid-colored variety. Avens Smokey Peach is a magical spring perennial that brings warm pastel tones to the garden starting in May. In nature, these plants grow on the edges of light forests and moister meadows, which is why a sunny or partially shaded spot with well-drained and loamy soil suits them. As the name suggests, Smokey Peach puts on a beautiful show. Its ruffled flowers open yellow and gradually darken to soft peach and pink. You will receive a well-rooted seedling in a pot from us, which just needs to be transplanted. The leaves grow in dense clumps, forming a nice ground cover and offering an interesting winter effect. Any beginner can handle its cultivation. The perennial does not need support, does not suffer from diseases or pests, and easily survives even severe frosts. Moreover, the cup-shaped little flowers act as a magnet for pollinators. With its height of around fifty centimeters, it is suitable for the edges of flower beds. Avens are popular for fresh bouquets. Harvest them partially open; they will last a week in water. The flowers are not suitable for drying.

Avens Totally Tangerine will brighten any garden with its cup-shaped flowers in warm shades that resemble the color of ripe tangerines. The original botanical species of this cute avens originate from the mountainous regions of Chile, which is why it thrives best even in our conditions in well-drained, humus-rich, and loamy soil. It handles frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees without problems, and even complete beginners can easily handle caring for it, as it does not suffer from diseases or pests. You will get an already grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant straight into the flowerbed in sun or partial shade. It is ideal to plant the plants about half a meter apart. Here it will soon form a dense clump of green leaves, from which sturdy stems up to ninety centimeters tall emerge, and they do not need any support. Although it is a short-lived perennial, it will make up for everything with its incredible persistence in blooming. Unlike other avens, the Totally Tangerine variety starts its blooming season a little later, but in return, it will delight you without a break from May to September. The semi-double flowers also gradually transition into a deep salmon to dark peach color and are a literal magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. In a flowerbed, it functions excellently as a filler plant, nicely connecting other perennials with its neutral structure. You will also enjoy the blooming avens at home. It is excellently suited for cutting into summer bouquets. We recommend cutting the stems when a quarter to half of the flowers on the branch are already open. They will then last about a week in a vase and gently liven up any arrangement. Although it is not suitable for drying, it will do a lot of work in the flowerbed even through winter, when its foliage and remains of stems create an interesting winter effect under frost or snow.

Baby's breath Snowflake is an absolute classic that should not be missing in any traditional or modern garden. This perennial plant originally comes from the sandy steppes and sunny slopes of southern Europe and Central Asia, which predestines it to love full sun and well-drained, even sandy soil. It has been grown in botanical gardens since the eighteenth century, and thanks to its low maintenance, it quickly found its way into private gardens as well. It forms rich, airy clumps that look like white clouds when in bloom and bring a unique lightness to flower beds. The Snowflake variety stands out with a flood of pure white, mostly double flowers that appear from June to August. It is an ideal plant for modern steppe plantings, where it perfectly complements ornamental grasses and drought-tolerant perennials, but it is also traditionally planted as a delicate companion to roses. For florists, baby's breath is indispensable. It is excellent for cutting into fresh bouquets, where it adds volume and softens the overall impression, and it can just as well be dried for winter decorations. The plant is frost-hardy and long-lived, so it will bring you joy in the garden for many years.

The Copper Image tulip brings infinite splendor in warm, earthy tones to the spring garden. Safflower is a cut flower you simply must have! We tried it for the first time this year and it is a great piece. The stems are firm, strong, and woody. They grow beautifully straight and are wonderful to arrange with. Safflower can also be used unbloomed in the form of buds, like neutral green thistles. The flowers are prickly, but the stems and leaves are not, so it doesn't bother you when cleaning the material and arranging. Well, one could talk about Safflower for a long time, it's simply a perfect piece. Orange Grenade is a yellow variegated variant. For drying, we harvest fully colored buds. Just hang them upside down in a dry and ventilated place, out of direct sunlight.
