Besides its ornamental function, lady's mantle also has practical uses. Thanks to its clumping growth and ability to quickly fill in, it is ideal for edging pathways or as an underplanting beneath taller shrubs and roses. The Japanese perennial Isodon longitubus is a welcome addition to any shady corner of the garden that lacks color in the autumn. Its home is in the moister edges of Asian forests, where it grows in pleasant partial shade; therefore, it requires protection from direct sun in our conditions as well. It thrives in normally moist, well-drained, humus-rich loamy soil. From our shipment, you will unbox a strong potted plant, ready for immediate planting at a spacing of forty centimeters. The Isodon stands out primarily for its late blooming at the very end of the season. While other plants are fading, it opens into delicate blue-violet flowers in October, which attract stray bees and other pollinators. Although the thin stems are not suitable for bouquets or drying, they bring much joy to a front garden. Care is very easy; the plant is not bothered by pests, maintains its compact shape without staking, and reliably withstands winter down to minus twenty-three degrees.

The heavenly blue larkspur Benary’s Pacific Summer Skies brings a striking vertical element to the garden and plenty of food for bees. In the wild, larkspurs grow on nutrient-rich soils with plenty of moisture. Therefore, you should preferably prepare a sunny spot for it in heavier humus soil and ensure truly generous watering. The Summer Skies cultivar grows to a height of up to one and a half meters and forms beautiful blue inflorescences during June, August, and September. You will receive from us a grown seedling in a pot, fully ready for planting in the flower bed. This is a plant for slightly more advanced growers. It is good to protect it from spring invasions of slugs and in the hot summer keep an eye out for any possible occurrence of powdery mildew. The reward, however, will be perfect flowers that are made for cutting. They will stay fresh in a vase for a whole week, just keep them away from a fruit bowl due to their sensitivity to ethylene. Florists also like to use this variety in dried arrangements, because the typical blue color does not fade after drying. When handling, remember that the entire plant is poisonous. Despite its mild demands, however, thanks to its extreme frost resistance and stunning beauty, it will quickly become the star of any garden.

Larkspur Benary’s Pacific Galahad is an unmissable classic and a true dominant feature among border perennials. Its wild ancestors originate from the mountain meadows and light forests of the Northern Hemisphere, so even in the garden, it will appreciate a sunny location and well-drained, yet nutrient-rich loamy and humous soil with plenty of moisture. You will receive a mature seedling in a pot from us, which just needs to be transplanted directly into the flowerbed, ideally at a spacing of sixty centimeters, so that it has enough clear space around it for growth. It belongs among plants for intermediate growers, because for its majestic growth to a height of one hundred to one hundred and fifty centimeters, it needs regular fertilizing and copious watering. It is also good to watch out for snails and slugs, which like to feast on its young leaves, and throughout the season to protect the plant from powdery mildew. Larkspur is fully frost-resistant and can handle temperatures dropping to minus thirty-four degrees without difficulty. The entire plant is poisonous, which is good to keep in mind when choosing its spot. You will often see it in the company of roses and peonies, where its pure white flowers form a perfect color contrast. It blooms first in June and, after being cut back in time, usually repeats blooming during August and September. The snow-white flowers reliably attract bees as well as other beneficial pollinators and are an excellent choice for cutting into vases. They will last about seven days in clean water, one just needs to pay attention to the proximity of ripening fruit, because the plant is very sensitive to the released ethylene and would fade faster. If you dry the flowers, they serve excellently for floristic purposes and will retain their shape and fresh color for a long time.

Solidaster 'Lemore' is a unique perennial that originated from an interesting cross between goldenrods and asters. Its parent species come from sunny meadows, which is why it will do best in your garden in full sun in well-drained, sandy, or loamy soil. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant straight into the flower bed. Here, it will soon form clumps about seventy centimeters high, which do not need support and easily survive severe frosts. Solidaster does not suffer from diseases or pests, making cultivation easy even for beginners. From July to September, flowers appear that make the 'Lemore' variety very attractive. They bloom in a bright yellow color and gradually change through cream to milky white. The florets are slightly larger than those of goldenrod, attract bees and butterflies, and are even surprisingly edible. The plant is perfectly suited for cutting into summer arrangements; it will last beautifully in a vase for a full ten days.

Meadow Sage occurs in our country primarily in warmer regions, especially in southern Moravia and northern and central Bohemia. It grows on sunny meadows, slopes, and along roadsides. The fragrant leaves form a basal rosette, from which several sparsely leafy, branched stems grow. The inflorescences consist of striking lipped flowers, which are a huge attraction for bees and bumblebees. Swan Lake blooms white.

We grow basils for bouquets, but every basil piece in our offer can also be used for cooking. Cinamonette has wine-green leaves, dark wine stems, and wine flowers. Taste-wise, it is an atypical basil with a rather Asian flavour. In bouquets, it looks novel and functions directly as an edible flower.
