Phlox paniculata

Phlox, also known as flame flower, is originally a perennial native to North America. It quickly gained great popularity in European gardens and has been systematically cultivated since the 19th century. It is a classic perennial for cut bouquets, where in addition to its colorful flowers, it also delights with a delicate fragrance. Harvest when about half of the flowers in the inflorescence have bloomed; it will then last up to 10 days in a vase. Despite efforts to breed the most resilient cultivars, phlox remains exceptionally sensitive to climate and soil conditions, so we carefully ensure the correct site selection. The Sweet Summer series includes cultivars bred for greater resistance to fungal diseases. Sweet Summer Ocean is a very special cultivar introduced to the market in 2012. It is characterized by the color variability of its flowers throughout the day. On cool mornings, the flowers are blue; as temperatures rise, they fade and by noon they turn violet-pink.

Geum rivale

Mai Tai začíná nakvétat v broskvových tónech s růžovým nádechem a později přechází do tlumenějších pastelových tónů. Kvete velmi bujně s velkou násadou květů. Mai Tai byl vyšlechtěn v USA roce 2005.

Dicentra spectabilis

Bleeding hearts are originally native to Korea and China, where they grow in bright deciduous forests. They are among the classic garden perennials. They will look perfect in nostalgically themed flower beds, and the white variant also fits into naturalistic woodland gardens. They are beloved for their heart-shaped flowers suspended on horizontal or arching stems. These fade and die back some time after flowering, with all the plant's energy concentrating into the roots, at which point the above-ground part can be completely cut back. For the rest of the year, you won't even notice the bleeding heart in the garden. It will remind us of its charm again in spring. Excellent vase life, at least 7 days. Harvest when the first 3-4 flowers open on the stem. The basic species has pinkish-white flowers. Shoots emerging in spring have a pinkish hue.

Iceland poppy flowers are simple, slightly larger than annual corn poppies, and last longer in a vase. They appear throughout spring, sometimes even in September. The leaves are fresh green and arranged in a basal rosette. The entire plant secretes milky sap. Like all poppies, for use in bouquets, we harvest them as soon as the buds color up and "burst open." Additionally, we briefly (for about 20 seconds) sear the ends of the stems with a flame and immediately place them in cold water. They will then last 4 days in a vase.

Cultivation

Porostou nejlépe v polostínu, v dobře propustných půdách, dostatečně bohatých na humus. Koncem zimy seřízneme a odstraníme nevzhledné loňské listy, aby nové květy lépe vynikly. Listy likvidujeme, zabráníme tím šíření případných chorob.
