Corsican hellebore will bring freshness to your winter and early spring garden with its unique coloration. Its flowers have a fascinating pistachio-green to yellowish color, which contrasts beautifully with the dark green, sharply serrated leaves. This robust perennial, native to the Mediterranean, behaves like an evergreen subshrub in our conditions and grows up to 80 cm tall. Thanks to its growth habit and architectural appearance, it is perfectly suited as a specimen plant or for the background of shady perennial beds, where it fills the space even when other plants are still sleeping. It requires well-drained, humus-rich soil and a location in partial shade or shade.
The inflorescences often appear as early as January and keep adorning the plant until March. It is one of the few plants that offer food for insects at such an early time. If you want to enjoy its beauty indoors as well, you can cut the stems with flowers for a vase. However, for a longer vase life, it is necessary to wait until the flowers mature slightly and seed pods start to form in the center; otherwise, they tend to wilt. Given its southern origin, we recommend protecting the plant with a covering of evergreen branches during freezing days without snow so that the leaves retain their decorative value until spring. Remember that the whole plant is poisonous.

Výběr správného místa je pro čemeřici korsickou klíčový, protože se jedná o robustní rostlinu, která se v dospělosti chová spíše jako malý keř než jako klasická trvalka. Sazenice vysazujte do polostínu nebo stínu, ideálně pod koruny listnatých stromů, které v létě poskytují ochranu před úpalem, ale v zimě propustí dostatek světla. Půda by měla být hluboká, humózní a především dobře propustná. Tato čemeřice nesnáší přemokření, které může vést k uhnívání kořenů, proto na dno výsadbové jámy v těžších půdách nasypte vrstvu štěrku jako drenáž. Kolem rostliny nechte dostatek prostoru, dodržujte spon alespoň 70 cm, aby proudil vzduch a rostlina mohla vyniknout ve své plné kráse.
Péče během roku je u tohoto druhu specifická. Na rozdíl od jiných čemeřic se staré listy na jaře neodstraňují plošně, protože jsou stálezelené a tvoří kostru rostliny; ostříhejte pouze ty, které jsou poškozené mrazem nebo napadené houbovou skvrnitostí. Květenství se objevují už v zimě a vydrží až do jara. Pokud chcete květy použít do vázy, počkejte, až se uprostřed začnou tvořit semeníky, jinak ve vodě rychle zvadnou. Po odkvětu můžete stvoly odstranit, čímž podpoříte vitalitu rostliny, nebo je nechte dozrát, pokud si přejete, aby se čemeřice sama vysemenila v okolí. Nezapomeňte při manipulaci používat rukavice, šťáva z rostliny může dráždit pokožku.
Pěstování v nádobách je možné, ale vyžaduje pozornost. Vzhledem k velikosti rostliny, která může dorůst až 80 cm, zvolte velký a stabilní květináč s otvorem pro odtok vody. Calamint Blue Cloud
Lesser calamint Blue Cloud is an undemanding and modest perennial that reliably perfumes any sunny garden. Its original homeland is the sunny and dry slopes of Southern Europe, which is why it thrives best here in direct sun in well-drained, sandy, or poorer loamy soil. It handles winter without problems, tolerating frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant straight into the flowerbed, where it will very soon form a compact, airy small shrub reaching a height of up to forty centimeters. It does not suffer from any diseases or pests, so even complete beginners can easily handle caring for it. Throughout late summer and into autumn, it blooms with a record number of tiny blue flowers that are so typical of the Blue Cloud variety. The whole plant emits a pleasant minty-spicy scent, and its flowers, which resemble thyme, act as a literal magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look great among roses or in naturally designed steppe flowerbeds, where it naturally complements lower ornamental grasses. Additionally, both the blue flowers and green leaves are edible, so you can use them to garnish summer dishes. Lesser calamint is also excellently suited for cutting into smaller fresh bouquets, adding a fine structure to them in a vase.

Calamint
An undemanding and modest perennial that blooms with a large number of tiny flowers. It blooms for a record-breaking length of time throughout late summer and autumn. It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.
