You will receive a well-rooted seedling in a pot from us, which, after transplanting into the garden, can expect a long life without major care requirements. Amsonia is a fully frost-resistant and absolutely healthy plant that is not attacked by any pests, so truly anyone can handle growing it. It stands out perfectly in mixed perennial beds or as a fresh element in a sunny spot or in partial shade. Try giving the plants a spacing of around forty to fifty centimeters; they will soon naturally blend together. Prepare for the amsonia to transform its appearance throughout the entire year. While in spring it surprises with dark sprouting shoots, in May and June it blooms with tiny blue flowers, to which pollinators flock from far and wide. Pěstování amsónie ciliata je opravdovou radostí i pro úplné začátečníky, protože tato dlouhověká trvalka nevyžaduje žádnou složitou péči. Jakmile obdržíte naši dobře prokořeněnou sazenici, vyberte jí na zahradě slunné místo nebo světlý polostín. Rostlina nejlépe prospívá v běžné hlinité a humózní půdě, která dobře drží vlhkost. Při výsadbě do trvalkového záhonu dodržujte spon 40 až 50 centimetrů, aby měly dospělé rostliny s výškou kolem 60 až 90 centimetrů dostatek prostoru pro svůj vývoj a dobré proudění vzduchu. Amsónie ocení záhon s dostatečně vlhkou půdou, ale nebojte se, nějaký čas jí sice trvá, než se v zahradě usadí a zesílí, pak je ale velmi odolná a snese i kratší období sucha. Výsadbu doporučujeme provádět kdykoliv během vegetační sezóny, stačí jen dbát na pravidelnou zálivku po zasazení.
Během jara a léta rostlina nevyžaduje žádné speciální hnojení, vystačí si s kvalitním kompostem přidaným k jejím kořenům zhruba jednou za rok na jaře. Pokud toužíte po pěstování amsónie v nádobě nebo prostorném truhlíku, držte se těchto jednoduchých zásad:
- Zvolte dostatečně objemný květináč s drenážními otvory pro odtok přebytečné vody.
- Použijte kvalitní a výživný substrát pro trvalky.
- Myslete na mnohem pravidelnější zálivku než na běžném záhonu, protože zemina v nádobách vysychá nepoměrně rychleji. Během sezóny můžete modré květy stříhat do vázy, nemají tendenci se přesévat. Zde však buďte opatrní, stonky po seříznutí roní bílé mléko, které je mírně jedovaté. Konec stonku stačí lehce opálit nad plamenem zapalovače, vložit do vody a květy vám vydrží krásné až deset dní. Rostlina má navíc velice pevný růst a nevyžaduje žádnou dodatečnou oporu, a to ani za zhoršeného počasí.
S úderem podzimu se tenké zelené listy krásně vybarví do hořčicově žluté, čímž prodlouží atraktivitu vaší zahrady. Nadzemní část přes zimu odumírá a suché stonky s listy doporučujeme ponechat na rostlině až do jara. Fungují jako naprosto přirozená ochrana kořenového krčku před vlhkem a mrazem. Na začátku jara pak stačí celý trs seříznout těsně nad zemí, aby uvolnil místo novým, tmavě zbarveným rašícím výhonům. Amsónie je plně mrazuvzdorná až do -28 °C, takže nepotřebuje žádné zimní zakrývání chvojím. K tomu všemu se můžete spolehnout na její výjimečnou vitalitu. Amsónie nemají potíže se škůdci ani nemocemi a jsou takzvaně naprosto bezúdržbové. Tato nenáročná kráska vás bude těšit po mnoho let, aniž byste se museli obávat o její zdraví.

Harvest for bouquets when the tiny flowers are fully open. It lasts 10 days in a vase. Terracotta features ochre, shades of orange and yellow, and gray-green foliage.

Calamint
An undemanding and modest perennial that blooms with a large number of tiny flowers. It blooms for a record-breaking length of time throughout late summer and autumn. It forms smaller, compact, airy bushes that release a minty-spicy scent. The thyme-like flowers attract bees, bumblebees, and butterflies. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.

The Czech Perennial Association chose autumn Anemones as the perennial of the season for 2022. They last 7 days in a vase. Whirlwind is a historical variety bred in 1887 in the USA. It has a semi-double pure white flower, often with inner twisted petals, and compact, strictly upright growth. The flowers are very durable.
