Amsonia illustris is a fascinating long-lived perennial that will surprise you with several transformations throughout the year. Its original home is in the eastern regions of the United States, where it naturally grows in moister grassy habitats. Thanks to this, it is extremely adaptable and in our gardens it will appreciate humous and loamy soil, whether in full sun or partial shade. In a sunny spot, expect its delicate flowers to fade slightly faster. You will receive a well-rooted seedling in a pot from us, which you just need to transplant directly to the selected spot in the flowerbed, ideally at a spacing of about fifty to sixty centimeters. It doesn't need support, easily withstands frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees, and common diseases and pests avoid it, so even complete beginners can handle growing it. At the turn of May and June, it forms tufts of fresh green leaves that resemble a willow. It grows up to eighty centimeters tall and is soon adorned with star-shaped flowers in sky and light blue shades. These flowers not only look beautiful, but reliably attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators from the wide surroundings. Gardeners love it for its variability. Early in the spring, it captivates with dark emerging shoots, and in the autumn its leaves turn beautiful mustard yellow tones, bringing a warm autumn atmosphere to the garden. It fits perfectly into mixed perennial beds, where it will complement ornamental grasses well. Since the entire plant is poisonous, it is good to handle it carefully. If you like creating your own bouquets, you will also love amsonia for floral use, although it is not suitable for drying. Its blue flowers will add softness and elegance to any vase. When cut, however, the stems exude a white milky sap. To make it last as long as possible in a vase, it is necessary to sear the ends of the stems with a flame after cutting and only then immediately place them in water. Thanks to this little trick, you can enjoy the fresh flowers for up to ten days.

Bluebeard Hint of Gold will brighten up the garden at a time when most perennials are already finishing their bloom. This deciduous subshrub is valued primarily for the unconventional coloring of its leaves, which sprout in bright yellow tones and gradually transition into a soft yellow-green. Pro úspěšné pěstování vyberte stanoviště na slunci nebo v mírném polostínu. Na plném slunci sice bohatě pokvete, ale počítejte s tím, že její nebesky modré květy mohou o něco rychleji blednout. Amsonie ocení záhon s dostatečně vlhkou půdou, patří mezi dlouhověké trvalky, které mají rády stabilní podmínky. Nejlépe se jí bude dařit v humózní a hlinité zemině. Sazenice vysazujte do sponu 50 až 60 centimetrů, což odpovídá zhruba čtyřem až šesti rostlinám na metr čtvereční. Tento velkorysý prostor je důležitý pro správnou cirkulaci vzduchu a celkový zdravý růst.
Po výsadbě je klíčová pravidelná zálivka. Nějaký čas jí trvá, než se v zahradě usadí a zesílí, pak je velmi odolná a snese i kratší období sucha. Macedonian scabious is an abundantly and long-blooming, undemanding perennial that will bring the untamed charm of summer meadows to the garden. Its wild form originates from the sun-drenched Balkans, where it naturally grows on sunny hillsides and in warm thickets. You will receive from us a mature seedling in a pot, which just needs to be transplanted into well-drained loamy or sandy soil in the sun or partial shade. Here it will quickly take root and form a vigorous clump. The Red Knight cultivar enchants with slender stems up to ninety centimeters tall, which all summer from June to September carry a flood of dark burgundy to deep wine-red flowers. These edible flowers act as a huge attraction for bees, bumblebees, and other insects. The plant is an ideal choice for beginners because it reliably resists frosts down to minus twenty-eight degrees and does not suffer from any pests or diseases. Although it belongs to short-lived perennials, in a suitable place it gladly self-seeds. It will fit perfectly into naturalistically designed plantings with ornamental grasses and is popularly used in sweeping meadow bouquets. We recommend cutting the flowers fully open; they will then stay beautifully fresh in a vase for several days.

Russian sage Little Spire
Perovskia are sparsely branched subshrubs, originating from areas ranging from Afghanistan to Tibet. They grow in open, sunny, rocky, and stony habitats. Their white-felted shoots and grayish aromatic leaves are striking. They fit well in sunny flower beds with other drought-loving perennials, where they create interesting structures even in the winter months. Little Spire is a smaller cultivar suitable even for pots with a soil volume of 7 liters or more.
