The 'Sissi' tulip brings a gentle elegance and a romantic touch to spring days. It didn't get its name by accident; its noble shape and pastel pink to slightly lilac petal coloration appear truly dignified. You will receive a high-quality bulb from us, from which a sturdy stem growing to around fifty centimeters will emerge in the spring. This makes the 'Sissi' variety a perfect element for any spring flower bed. It looks excellent planted in larger groups or in combination with grape hyacinths and forget-me-nots, where the tender pink color creates an interesting contrast. Tulips are one of the first food sources for waking bees and bumblebees. If you like to decorate your home, the 'Sissi' variety will not disappoint you as a cut flower either. For bouquets, we cut the stems when the buds are colored but still closed. These spring flowers will then last about a week in a vase and gradually reveal their full shape.

Výběr stanoviště a příprava půdy pro výsadbu: Tulipán Sissi je velmi vděčná a nenáročná trvalka, jejíž pěstování hravě zvládne i úplný začátečník. Pro dosažení co nejkrásnějších pastelově růžových a lilákových květů je naprosto klíčový správný výběr stanoviště. Této odrůdě se bude nejlépe dařit na přímém slunci nebo v mírném polostínu, kde bude mít dostatek světla pro tvorbu silných stonků dorůstajících do výšky 45 až 55 centimetrů. Zcela zásadní je kvalita půdy. Tulipány vyžadují dobře propustnou, hlinitou a na humus bohatou zeminu. Pokud máte na zahradě příliš těžkou jílovitou půdu, doporučujeme ji před výsadbou vylepšit přidáním hrubšího písku a vyzrálého kompostu. Tím zajistíte potřebnou drenáž. Cibule totiž v žádném případě nesnášejí trvalé přemokření, které by mohlo vést k jejich rychlému uhnívání. Dobře připravená půda je prvním a nejdůležitějším krokem k úspěšnému jarnímu kvetení.
Podzimní výsadba a správné uložení cibulí: Ideální období pro výsadbu cibulí nastává na podzim, konkrétně během měsíců září, říjen a listopad, kdy už půda není přehřátá od letního slunce. Pokud obdržíte cibule dříve, než je vhodné je zasadit, uložte je do papírového sáčku a skladujte je na suchém, chladném a dobře větraném místě, aby nezačaly předčasně klíčit nebo plesnivět. Samotná výsadba je velmi jednoduchá. Cibule sázejte do hloubky 10 až 15 centimetrů, přičemž dbejte na to, aby špička cibule směřovala vždy směrem vzhůru. Aby váš jarní záhon působil opravdu bohatým a celistvým dojmem, doporučuje se dodržet spon 10 až 15 centimetrů. V praxi to znamená výsadbu zhruba 50 až 70 cibulí na jeden metr čtvereční. Po zasazení půdu lehce přitlačte a mírně zalijte, aby cibule mohly do příchodu prvních silných mrazů bezpečně zakořenit.
Péče během jarní sezóny a příprava na zimu: Jakmile se na jaře objeví první zelené lístky, je vhodné začít s pravidelnou péčí. Tulipány vyžadují střední zálivku. Půdu udržujte neustále mírně vlhkou, ale nikdy ne promočenou. V období růstu a nasazování poupat můžete přidat komplexní hnojivo pro cibuloviny, které podpoří tvorbu velkých květů. Během dubna a května se květy naplno otevřou a stanou se pastvou pro včely a čmeláky. Po odkvětu je nezbytné odštípnout semeník, aby se rostlina nevysilovala tvorbou semen, ale zelené listy ponechte na záhonu. Musí přirozeně zežloutnout a zaschnout, protože tak cibule načerpá dostatek živin pro další sezónu. Zazimování se bát nemusíte. Odrůda Sissi je extrémně mrazuvzdorná a snese teploty klesající až k -40 °C, takže cibule mohou zůstat v zemi celoročně.
Prevence chorob a využití k řezu do vázy: Přestože je tento tulipán relativně odolný, nevhodné pěstební podmínky mohou vést k výskytu určitých problémů. Nejčastěji se objevují houbová onemocnění, jako je šedá hniloba nebo fusariová hniloba, kterým lze nejlépe předcházet právě výsadbou do propustné půdy a vyhýbáním se zálivce přímo na listy. Občas se může objevit i virus mozaiky, který se projevuje deformacemi a nepřirozenými skvrnami na květech a listech. Takto napadené rostliny je nutné i s cibulí okamžitě odstranit ze záhonu, aby se infekce nešířila. Pokud si rádi zdobíte domov, tulipán Sissi vás nadchne jako vynikající květina k řezu. Stonky řežte ostrým nožem v době, kdy jsou poupata již jasně vybarvená, ale stále ještě pevně uzavřená. Ve váze s čistou a pravidelně měněnou vodou vám vydrží zhruba týden a postupně odhalí svou plnou krásu.
