It is an exceptionally hardy plant; it can handle severe frosts and does not suffer from diseases or pests. The grown seedling you will receive from us simply needs to be transplanted into the flower bed with a spacing of forty centimeters. During July and August, richly branched stems grow from a basal rosette of leathery leaves. These bear veil-like panicles with thousands of tiny lavender-colored flowers. In flower beds, it functions as a great filler plant and reliably attracts bees. Florists swear by it. The flowers are perfectly suited for cutting into summer bouquets, adding volume to them. Klíčem k dlouhodobému úspěchu je dokonale propustná, spíše suchá půda, ideálně s příměsí písku či drobných kamínků. Sazenice sázejte do záhonu na vzdálenost čtyřiceti centimetrů od sebe. Tento velkorysý spon zajistí nejen to, že rostlina bude mít dostatek prostoru pro svůj padesát až osmdesát centimetrů vysoký vzrůst, ale také umožní volné proudění vzduchu mezi listy. Tím spolehlivě podpoříte její celkovou vitalitu a zdravý vzhled.
Z hlediska následné péče patří statice mezi nejméně náročné rostliny ve vaší zahradě, takže je ideální i pro úplné začátečníky. Počáteční zálivka je nutná jen do doby, než sazenice pevně prokoření do okolní zeminy. Poté se z ní stává mistr v přežití, kterému vyhovuje spíše sucho a nepotřebuje ani pravidelně přihnojovat. Russian sage reliably brings a touch of sunny steppes into the garden and places almost no demands on care. These sparsely branched subshrubs originally come from harsh, rocky areas from Afghanistan to Tibet, where they grow on open sun-drenched plains. An interesting detail of this variety is the green leaves with a bronze tint and red spots. In its natural environment, it grows on open, sunny plains, which is why it thrives best in our gardens in full sun in drier, well-drained soil.
