Dlouhá stébla se výborně hodí k řezu do váz i k sušení do dekorací. Vyhýbají se mu choroby i škůdci a vydrží mrazy až -28 °C. Před zimou jej nestříhejte, protože ojíněná stébla vytváří nádherný zimní efekt.
