Třeslice Limouzi je vděčnou a nenáročnou okrasnou trávou, která pro svůj zdárný růst vyžaduje především správně zvolené stanoviště. Této rostlině se nejlépe daří na plném slunci nebo v lehkém polostínu, kde její srdíčkovité klásky mohou krásně hrát barvami. Co se týče půdy, třeslice preferuje chudší a velmi dobře propustné podloží. Jelikož se jedná o méně konkurenceschopný druh, doporučujeme kolem ní nechat dostatek volného prostoru a nesázet ji do těsné blízkosti velmi bujně rostoucích trvalek, které by ji mohly časem vytlačit.
Samotná výsadba zakoupených sazenic je ideální na jaře nebo začátkem podzimu, aby rostlina stihla dobře zakořenit. Dodržujte doporučený spon přibližně 35 cm (cca 7–9 rostlin na metr čtvereční), což zajistí dostatečnou cirkulaci vzduchu a vyniknutí jednotlivých trsů. V průběhu sezóny je zálivka nutná spíše jen v období delšího sucha; jakmile rostlina zakoření, snese i mírný přísušek. Pokud se rozhodnete pěstovat třeslici v nádobě či truhlíku, což je velmi oblíbená varianta, dbejte na to, aby nádoba měla odtokové otvory a na dně byla drenážní vrstva z keramzitu. Substrát v květináči by měl být smíchán s pískem, aby se napodobily přirozené podmínky chudých luk.
Údržba třeslice Limouzi je snadná a zvládne ji i úplný začátečník, protože rostlina netrpí na žádné specifické choroby ani škůdce. Hlavním zásahem do jejího života je řez. Vzdušná květenství můžete v průběhu května až července stříhat do letních kytic nebo je sušit pro zimní dekorace. Po odkvětu, obvykle koncem léta, je vhodné celé trsy zastřihnout. Tento krok podpoří tvorbu nových svěžích listů a rostlina bude vypadat upraveně až do podzimu. Třeslice je sice krátkověká trvalka, ale na stanovišti se často udržuje samovolným vysemeněním, takže se o její přítomnost v záhonu nemusíte bát. Mrazuvzdornost je vynikající, snáší teploty až do -28 °C, takže na zahradě bez problémů přezimuje bez nutnosti speciální ochrany. U rostlin v nádobách je však vhodné obalit květináč jutou nebo polystyrenem, aby nepromrzly kořeny.

Tufted hairgrass is an undemanding native grass that remains green even in winter. In nature, it grows in meadows and forest clearings. It forms a neat clump of leaves, from which grow delicate thin stems with transparent clouds of flowers. It adapts even to more difficult conditions, such as dry shade or compacted soil, and can handle waterlogging too. The flowers of the 'Schottland' cultivar are brown at the beginning of flowering, later turning gold. The leaf clumps grow up to 60 centimeters, the flower stems up to 120.
