Most hybrids available here come from plants native to North America and Mexico, where they grow in sunny and drier habitats. Therefore, in your garden as well, it will most enjoy full sun and well-drained, even loamy or sandy soil. From the delivered mature seedling in a pot, an elegant clump fifty to eighty centimeters tall will grow very quickly. This short-lived perennial is a great choice even for complete beginners. It does not need special care, easily handles harsher frosts, and does not suffer from any diseases or pests.
The Linda variety is characterized by a delicate overall appearance and blooms continuously from July to September with plenty of tiny purple flowers with a dark purple calyx. Its flowers act as a reliable attraction for bees and butterflies, providing them with a rich food source. The growth itself is also interesting in this cultivar. The purple shoots gradually turn green during the growing season and are complemented by dark green aromatic leaves with a reddish tinge. The approximately one meter tall straight stems are adorned with deep green leaves and bear dense inflorescences on top from July to August. At the same time, the whole plant smells very pleasantly, which acts as a reliable magnet for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies from the wide surroundings.
Although phlox is very easy to grow and even complete beginners can manage the care, it pays to pay attention to the correct choice of location. We send customers already mature seedlings in a pot, which you can easily transplant directly into the garden. Here, phlox thrives best in a sunny to semi-shady location with loamy, humous, and well-drained soil. It is ideal to keep a spacing of about fifty centimeters when planting so that each clump has enough space to grow. They like plenty of moisture, and stable humidity is important to them. During severe drought, they can react sensitively and be more susceptible to powdery mildew, so they will welcome more abundant watering in the hot summer. Vzhledem k tomu, že vám domů dorazí již krásně vzrostlá sazenice, můžete se rovnou pustit do hledání toho nejlepšího místa na zahradě. Agastache Linda ze všeho nejvíce miluje horké a slunné stanoviště, kde se jí bude nejlépe dařit. Zásadní je pro ni velmi dobře propustná půda, ideálně písčitá nebo hlinitá, která nezadržuje přebytečnou vodu. Pokud máte na zahradě spíše těžší nebo jílovitou půdu, určitě před samotnou výsadbou přidejte dostatek písku nebo drobného štěrku pro odlehčení. Tato vyhledávaná krátkověká trvalka výborně snáší letní sucho, ale naopak vůbec nesnáší přemokření, a to obzvlášť v chladných zimních měsících.
Sazenice vysazujte s rozestupem přibližně 50 centimetrů, což v praxi odpovídá zhruba čtyřem až šesti rostlinám na jeden metr čtvereční. Its original homeland is the sunny and dry slopes of Southern Europe, which is why it thrives best here in direct sun in well-drained, sandy, or poorer loamy soil. It handles winter without problems, tolerating frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees.
