Phlox is a perennial originally native to North America. It soon achieved great popularity in European gardens and has been systematically bred since the 19th century. It is a classic perennial for cut bouquets, where it delights with a delicate fragrance in addition to colorful flowers. We harvest as soon as roughly half of the flowers in the inflorescence are open; then it lasts up to 10 days in a vase. Despite efforts to breed the most resistant cultivars possible, it remains true that Phlox reacts extremely sensitively to climate and soil conditions, so we pay careful attention to the correct choice of location. The Franz Schubert cultivar has pastel lilac flowers that fade towards the edge. The delicate flower color looks especially beautiful in combination with dark-leaved plants. It smells lovely.

Vzhledem k tomu, že vám domů dorazí již krásně vzrostlá sazenice, můžete se rovnou pustit do hledání toho nejlepšího místa na zahradě. Agastache Linda ze všeho nejvíce miluje horké a slunné stanoviště, kde se jí bude nejlépe dařit. Zásadní je pro ni velmi dobře propustná půda, ideálně písčitá nebo hlinitá, která nezadržuje přebytečnou vodu. Pokud máte na zahradě spíše těžší nebo jílovitou půdu, určitě před samotnou výsadbou přidejte dostatek písku nebo drobného štěrku pro odlehčení. Tato vyhledávaná krátkověká trvalka výborně snáší letní sucho, ale naopak vůbec nesnáší přemokření, a to obzvlášť v chladných zimních měsících.
Sazenice vysazujte s rozestupem přibližně 50 centimetrů, což v praxi odpovídá zhruba čtyřem až šesti rostlinám na jeden metr čtvereční. Tento dostatečný spon je velice důležitý pro dobrou cirkulaci vzduchu mezi jednotlivými trsy. Přestože je odrůda Linda přirozeně velmi vitální a můžete se těšit z pěstování zcela bez chorob a bez škůdců, volnější vzdušný prostor jí pomůže udržet se v naprosto perfektní kondici. Po výsadbě rostlinu mírně zalijte, ale jakmile bezpečně zakoření, pravidelnou zálivku omezte na naprosté minimum. Žádné přihnojování není vůbec potřeba, protože v chudší půdě si rostlina lépe zachová svůj kompaktní tvar a pevné stonky, které nepotřebují oporu.
Během hlavní letní sezóny nevyžaduje tato nenáročná trvalka téměř žádnou složitou péči. Pokud chcete maximálně podpořit opakované kvetení a udržet rostlinu dlouho svěží, můžete průběžně odstraňovat odkvetlé stonky. Většinou to ale není vyloženě nutné a květenství můžete s klidem nechat na rostlině až do konce roku. Zaschlé květy totiž vytvoří na zahradě nádherný zimní efekt a zároveň poslouží jako přirozená ochrana kořenového krčku před silnými mrazy. Rostlina je sice spolehlivě mrazuvzdorná až do -23 °C, ale její úspěšné přezimování závisí především na dokonale suché půdě. Pokud nelze zajistit suché zimní stanoviště, často se pěstuje jen jako letnička. Na jaře pak stačí suché stonky seříznout těsně nad zemí, aby mohly vyrašit nové purpurové výhonky.
