The 'White Swirl' wand loosestrife gives a much more elegant and airy impression in the garden than its better-known relative, the purple loosestrife. It is characterized by a slimmer growth habit and smooth, narrow leaves that beautifully turn into dark red tones in the autumn, thereby extending the visual effect of the plant until the end of the season. The 'White Swirl' cultivar is prized for its delicate, pure white flower spikes, which tower up to a height of one meter and bring lightness and light to the plantings. Although loosestrifes generally love water and we find them in moist meadows in nature, this species surprisingly deals well with slightly less moisture. You can therefore plant it without worry not only along the edges of ponds but also in common perennial beds with loamy or clayey soil. From July to September, it becomes a magnet for bees and other pollinators. Furthermore, the sturdy stems are suitable for cutting into summer bouquets.

It originally comes from the sunny and dry regions of the Mediterranean and Asia Minor, so it thrives best in direct sun here as well. It favors well-drained, sandy, and even nutrient-poor soil, where it easily copes with a lack of moisture. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant straight into the flower bed, where it will very soon form a neat, richly branched bush reaching a height of around fifty centimeters. It is an absolutely undemanding plant that is not bothered by diseases or pests, so its cultivation can be easily handled even by complete beginners. Během sezóny je péče o kyprej minimální i díky mimořádné odolnosti kyprejů vůči chorobám a škůdcům. Otázka zálivky je však klíčová – rostlina má ráda režim vláhy 💧💧💧, takže v obdobích sucha, a to zejména pokud neroste přímo u vody, ji nezapomínejte pravidelně a vydatně zalévat. Pokud chcete podpořit vitalitu rostliny a prodloužit kvetení, můžete odstraňovat odkvetlé části, čímž zároveň zamezíte případnému nechtěnému vysemenění v okolí, ačkoliv tento kultivar není tak invazivní jako původní druh. Pokud nemáte zahradu, můžete 'White Swirl' pěstovat i v nádobách, ale připravte se na častější péči. Květináč musí být prostorný a naplněný humózní zeminou, která dobře váže vodu. U pěstování v nádobách je důležité, aby substrát nikdy kompletně nevyschl – v horkém létě to může znamenat zálivku i dvakrát denně. It is an absolutely undemanding plant that can handle even heavier clay soil and loves the sun. The cultivar Robert stands out with deep purple-pink spike-like inflorescences and, compared to the original species, grows more compactly, reaching a height of around 70 to 90 centimeters. Thanks to this, it fits even into smaller perennial beds, where it beautifully complements moisture-loving plantings. From July to September, it literally buzzes with life, as it is a huge attraction for bees, bumblebees, and butterflies.
