Pěstování okouzlujícího tulipánu Apricot Pride je velice snadné a bez obav ho zvládne i naprostý začátečník v zahradničení. Zcela zásadním krokem pro dosažení úspěchu je správná volba místa. Těmto oblíbeným jarním květinám nejvíce vyhovuje otevřené slunné nebo mírně polostinné stanoviště. Zvolená půda by měla být především dostatečně propustná, spíše lehčí a písčitá, ale zároveň bohatá na živiny a humus. Právě výborná propustnost zeminy je naprosto klíčová, jelikož v těžkých, jílovitých a trvale mokrých půdách cibulky velmi často trpí hnilobou. V případě těžší zeminy na vaší zahradě proto doporučujeme přidat na dno výsadbové jamky trochu čistého písku pro zajištění lepší drenáže.
Svou podzimní výsadbu si můžete naplánovat na měsíce září, říjen nebo i listopad, kdy už se půda začíná přirozeně ochlazovat. Až do chvíle sázení uchovávejte cibule na suchém, chladném a temném místě, aby nezačaly předčasně rašit. Samotný proces sázení je pak velmi rychlý a přímočarý. Cibule vkládejte do připravené zeminy do hloubky 10 až 15 centimetrů, přičemž pamatujte na pravidlo, že špička musí vždy směřovat nahoru. Vzdálenost mezi jednotlivými rostlinami volte v rozmezí 10 až 15 centimetrů. Vzhledem k tomu, že kultivar Apricot Pride dorůstá reprezentativní výšky 50 až 60 centimetrů, vypadá v zahradě zdaleka nejlépe ve větších, hustěji sázených skupinách.
Během bujného jarního růstu a následného kvetení v průběhu dubna a května se snažte udržovat mírnou vlhkost půdy. Tento kultivar se pyšní mimořádně pevnými a odolnými stonky, díky kterým skvěle odolává jarním aprílovým dešťům i silnějšímu větru. Květy jsou navíc naprosto ideální k řezu do vázy. Pokud se je rozhodnete ponechat na venkovním záhonu, nezapomeňte ihned po odkvětu odštípnout tvořící se semeník. Zelené listy naopak ponechte na rostlině nedotčené, dokud samy přirozeně nezatáhnou, čímž cibule získá cennou energii do další sezóny. Vzhledem k vynikající mrazuvzdornosti až do -40 °C probíhá zazimování zcela bez starostí a cibulky mohou zůstat v zemi po mnoho let.
