The Dunkle Pracht cultivar, which translates to "Dark Magnificence", fully lives up to its name thanks to intense wine-red flowers with a protruding dark center. You will receive a grown seedling in a pot from us, which you simply transplant straight into the flower bed, where it will very soon form a neat, richly branched bush reaching a height of around fifty centimeters. It is an absolutely undemanding plant that is not bothered by diseases or pests, so its cultivation can be easily handled even by complete beginners. It comfortably withstands severe frosts down to minus twenty-three degrees Celsius.
In the garden, hyssop finds wide application. It fits perfectly into steppe-character gravel beds and beautifully complements roses or lower ornamental grasses. During the summer until early autumn, the Roseus variety will delight you with a flood of tiny flowers in a delicate light pink shade. Záplevák 'Dunkle Pracht' je statná trvalka, která dorůstá výšky přes jeden metr, a proto se skvěle hodí do středních nebo zadních partií trvalkových záhonů. Sazenici, kterou obdržíte, vysaďte na místo s celodenním slunečním svitem. Bez slunce nebudou mít jeho vínově červené květy tu správnou intenzitu. Půdu vyžaduje výživnou a nevysychavou. Pokud máte na zahradě těžší jílovitou půdu, vylepšete ji přídavkem kompostu, ale vyhněte se příliš písčitým a suchým místům, kde by rostlina trpěla stresem ze sucha. Mulčování kolem rostliny je výborným trikem, jak udržet půdu déle vlhkou a snížit potřebu zálivky.
Péče pro bohaté kvetení a zdraví
Jakmile se sazenice ujme, je péče poměrně jednoduchá. Základem je dostatek vody – v suchém létě zalévejte raději méně často, ale zato vydatně, aby se voda dostala hluboko ke kořenům. Prodloužit kvetení můžete jednoduchým zásahem: odkvetlé stonky průběžně odstřihávejte. Rostlina tak nebude investovat energii do tvorby semen, ale do nových květů. Díky pevným stonkům nepotřebuje záplevák obvykle oporu, pokud není na extrémně větrném místě. Pozor si dejte brzy na jaře na slimáky, kteří dokážou mladé lístky spást až k zemi. Zima a pěstování v nádobách
Tato trvalka je plně mrazuvzdorná (zóna 4a) a zimu přečká bez úhony. Suché nadzemní části můžete ponechat přes zimu jako ochranu kořenového krčku a úkryt pro hmyz, a ostříhat je až brzy na jaře, nebo je odstranit už na podzim v rámci úklidu zahrady. Ačkoliv se zákazníci často ptají na pěstování v truhlíku, pro záplevák to není ideální. Pokud na tom trváte, zvolte opravdu velký kontejner s kvalitní drenáží a připravte se na to, že rostlina bude vyžadovat vaši každodenní pozornost se zálivkou a pravidelným přihnojováním. It will look good among roses as well as in naturalistic steppe beds, perhaps with lower grasses. This calamint is generally more vigorous. It differs from other calamints with felted leaves by its record flowering length, stiff and shiny leaves, and also a larger number of flowers that do not form seeds and are therefore maximally durable. Sometimes sold under the cultivar name 'Triumphator'.

Their white-felted shoots and grayish aromatic leaves are striking. Little Spire is a smaller cultivar suitable even for pots with a soil volume of 7 liters or more.

Traditionally, it is planted as a companion to roses due to the matching flowering time. However, it will look equally good in mixed drought-loving steppe plantings with grasses. It is an excellent food source for bees. It lasts 7 days in a vase. Schneehügel blooms white.
